Could be,but it's difficult to see from those pictures,is it transparant?
  2. In one way or another, you always put a smile on my face with your marble pictures.
  3. They are all beauties, especially, post #7--#11--#12--#13--#22--#26. Sofar I've found two blue/white with AV and two green/white with AV,here in Holland. Alley has certainly many marbles exported to the Netherlands,I find them here regularly, find them more than marbles from any other American factory. This one was also found here.
  4. here in Holland,it's crazy but lately I find more WV swirls here than I find Amsterdam swirls,I'm not complaining,on the contrary. What do you think,I'll put them in my Alley box?
  5. No,it was not a dream,to help you from the dream, here it is.
  6. Till now I've seen #8 different color combo's,for the white cross through, may be there are more, that I don't know of. And some #6 vanes cross through.
  7. Beautiful corals Nan!! Thanks Ron,it's now in my Alley box,I am always surprized,Alley made so much different styles.
  8. Is it an American habit, something you have much of,to give away?
  9. Thanks Cees,it looks almost the same as the marble in question,I like them very much, and that large red one,and the others.
  10. Great champion pictures Ron!!It's sure archive worthtly. This one was once IDed as possible Champion, what do you think,is it? It's 11/16 and under UV light it glows.
  11. Wow,I like them all!! The second picture, under and the middle row left, what are they called, blue lace?
  12. The late Rob Scholte,he is relatively well-known here,he studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Acedemie, where I studied aswell. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_Scholte
  13. A Dutch painter working on marbles. Marbles are hot!
  14. Ah,I see what you mean about the Weber and Faber connection, for you it's almost the same pronounced. In English the A is pronounced as an E. Here the A=AA,so it's Way-ber and Faa-ber here.
  15. Mine are Imperials,and I think Ann's aswell.
  16. They look like striped opaque's,don't know the maker of these nice marbles.
  17. No Webbers here that I know of,(sounds a bit strange in my ears),it is pronounced as:web-ber. Weber is a common name here, pronounced as Way-ber. I don't see the connection between Faber and Weber, those names are pronounced completely differently here. Hope this helps a bit to find your answer.
  18. Great score with history!! Like the ketchup&musterd.
  19. I know how it feels Steph, when my dog died,I was devastated, for my dog it was good because he was very sick.
  20. Got a fairy tale feeling from LIoyds picture.
  21. I believe they're called German circus marbles, they're very hard to find. Here're some that were digged at Laucha, the colors are crisp and sharp. Cees do you have pictures of yours? Bob,I've got a German vibe from your marble, though, when I look at the first pic- in post #2,I hestitate a little,I have that kind of construction (pattern) not seen on my marbles, but maybe that says nothing, everything could happen.
  22. Darla,thats a beautiful Rebel!! Here's another Amsterdam swirl.
