  1. German striped transp- at this time.
  2. Thanks Ann,every night it looks different here,i could not resist to take pictures again and again.
  3. And start a new topic about the NLR's with aventurine,it was mentioned in another thread. I also get the idea that it was done on purpose, precisely because it occurs frequently. IMO it's hard to believe that it happened by accident, also because it's done so nicely and precisely. Is it so that for every run everything that was used, has been written down by Peltier's glass chemist?? I've been thinking a lot about this and hope no one takes offence, that it's not worth it.
  4. They still are my fav- handmades,i like the black in it.
  5. We have 2 national hollidays. first is 5 May liberation day,the date of the end of WW11 is celebrated. second is kings day. And something completely else,Netherland has just gone to the semifinals of the world soccer championship.

  7. Sure, they're some kind of clay or pottery.
  8. Yes,i saw them at the collectorsfair in Utrecht, but didn't buy them, cause i thought how on earth can one play with them, on time they roll the paper is off.Not that i would play with them, but i collect play marbles.
  9. Imperial marbles are not older than early 70s,right? i think some patches that i find here are older than that and those are a mystery for me. Also interested how the stripes opaque and transparant were made,a bit of a puzzle .
  10. speaking of skies, view from my window.
  11. Not mine,i love the soccer game, but i don't like those marbles. If the Dutch play in Brazil, you see no one on the street, they all watch TV.
  12. All the not American made patches that i find here, thats my marble mystery.LOL
  13. I like the first one Ann. I was looking at my cat's and came across this one,the vanes are caged.
  14. Think this one is good for the lounge? They're made for the world soccer championship 2014.Kids and maybe adults collect them. It's the nr.1 national sport here.
  15. Mike,You have some nice ones, the first pic- second row,the one with the orange stripe in the white,is it also a striped transp-? Yes most of them have 2 seams,i've several with 1 seam and a few i can hardly see a seam. The blue one that i posted in the calender threath has i seam. I like this stripe transp- type of marble, they have something mysterious to me.
  16. Got it from Germany. heres another one.
  17. Steph, the park is full of this kind of objects and other artifacts.
  18. striped transp-with blue and green colors it's 15/16. Usually they have surface imperfections (litle pinpricks), but some have a nice smooth surface,as this one has.
