  1. Am I the only one who can imagine that it's an Akro Carnelian? Here's one for comparison.
  2. Here it is,it is with my Sisterville alley's.
  3. Here is what I know: Blechhammer Müller's sohne Ernstthal glasfabrik Justus Müllers sohn Ernstthal Kühnert&Co Haselbach, glasfabrik Wernerhütte Gebr.Schuller Lauscha Greiner Vetters sohn Piessau Muller&Co. It seems there exist company archives in Thuringen, till now they are not open for public, thats what I read about a year ago.
  4. I've an Alley like that.
  5. Akro double ingot, not as beautiful as yours Steph.
  6. Oh,I like it Ann,is the base glass colored? I like it anyway.
  7. I agree with Galen, the colors don't fit for beeing American agate and the glass is too opaque. It looks more like a Japanese handgathered transitional to me. It's possible the seller does not deceive you but might not know. Here are some Japanese transitionals.
  8. It seems to be,I'm not sure, that there are not many Champion wirepull types, that would be easy then you can't go wrong quickly. This is what I found on MarbleAlan's site.
  9. Thanks Cheese, that makes sence,Please let me know which one from the random group, you think is St.marys.
  10. First pic-,I've never seen glass marbles like that, anyway they look new. second pic-,they look like new Bulgarian marbles,we discussed them many times here at marble con. last pic-,strange,I've never seen a Bennington like that one, spots are never ground, they are Always rough.
  11. They can be well filled with the ribbons.
  12. No not for me without provenance. I got them from someone in America who is very familiar with it.
  13. I think you are right ladies.
  14. and another Alley Sisterville
  15. Alley dug Sisterville Alley random group
  16. Here's a Japanese rough spidery cut off, probably caused because the glass was too cold when it was cut.
  17. I don't know the size of Champion, the Veiligglas wirepulls that I have go from 5/8 upto 1.1/8
  18. Thanks, These Champions Pete sells on LOM,they resemble those from Veiligglas type3. The 2 left on top from Galen's pic-,look like these from Veiligglas type1 to me? The yellow and red ones from Galen's pic- are different from Veiligglas, the colors are different and the colored ribbon from Champion is wider. Sofar I could mistaken only in the white Champion and maybe the 2 left on top from Galen's pic-.
  19. Thanks Al,they look a bit like a cross between a wirepull and a swirl,isn't it?
  20. Good question Ann,actually I don't know exact what distinguished Champion wire from Veiligglas wire-,sure want to know, also want to know when Champion started to make wirepull's,I've never seen Champion wire pull's in original nets or boxes. Maybe time for a new thread,Champion agate wirepull versus Veiligglas wirepull.
  21. There were several glashütte that made marbles,I don't know what glashütte have made these marbles, sure I'd like to know.
  22. They're nice German machine made slags, some people call them striped transparant. Here are more, all found in Europe, as you can see they differ a bit from each other, they all have 1 or 2 seams.
