  11. Hi Mr Steve, yes sir, Thank you for the example too. The older handmade marbles are fascinating to look at, there's always that awe of how they made something so beautifully designed without advanced technology. How's your family? My son is ok, thank you for asking. My husband is ok but still unemployed, it's been a year now. I think, along with the learning, sharing marbles is also part of what this community is all about. Having various examples to enable us to learn more about them is a good thing. There's a certain kind of happiness when that unexpected marble mail comes along. Some folks have been very kind to me and I thank them whole-heartedly. The Lord put it upon my heart to pass along that kindness to Brian and his son with extras that I had...there's a cycle of giving that is one of the amazing qualities of this community. I am already blessed just knowing that Brian and his son are having fun together with something they both enjoy. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Clause and some are dressed as marble angels. Have a great day everyone! :-) Felicia
  12. I would like to thank the good people of this Marble Community and to Lou for having this forum. It's not only marbles that have been shared, but knowledge and experiences. There are people here eager to share information, who take the time to teach those of us who want to learn. It's great to learn of the days gone by and to see people keeping marbles alive. So many wonderful people, so many wonderful marbles and so much more ahead of us. Thank you all! May your days be blessed. :-) Felicia

  16. Well, shucks...I just passed along the kindness shown to me by many others. There's a lot of wonderful marble people here. Brian, Just knowing that you and your son are enjoying your time together is thanks enough for me. My child is grown but still tries to manage to see me once a week..I treasure those moments. Steph, I nearly forgot about those bags. So much is still packed away from the move. Have a blessed and safe 4th of July weekend folks! :-) Felicia
  17. Sir, I salute you. My sister was over there several years ago and to go through that extreme heaat, the HUGE bugs (spiders as big as a man's hand etc) and to continue to do your duty...God bless you! Be well and be safe. :-) Felicia
  18. Beautiful! Thanx for sharing and have a great day! :-) Felicia
  19. Hi Ray, Nice to meet you and thank you for your service to this country. Sounds like many great marbles and a great memory to take back with you. I pray your trip goes quickly and that you come back safely. I like that depth part..seeing into the marble, that's kewl...not to mention purple, pink and oxblood in these. Fantastic! Have a great day! :-) Felicia
  20. Dani!! Heyyyyy!! Hope you are well. You sure got some beauties there...everyone does! Popeyes, oxbloods..wow! (Where's my bib for drooling?) Have a great day! :-) Felicia
  21. Sure sounds like it was a great run and even better to try something you've dreamed about. Would like to see some closer pics of those lemonade and blueberry ones if you can, thank you. CLOSED!? :-(
  22. Wow! Those are all fantastic! I had to look up burmese because I didn't know what it was. Of course, I just love oxblood. These experiments are truly coming up with some beauties. Keep'em coming guys! Have a great day! :-) Felicia
  23. Too kewl!! Congratulations to the winners! The baby pictures are just adorable! I wouldn't even know where to start or what to do. How do you find kids who'd want to learn when you don't even know how to play? I think it's great kids are doing this rather than being couch potatoes. Thanks for sharing. :-) Felicia
  24. I'm confused too. That post at MM was done by Bob from something that caught his eye and stopped him in his tracks. He generally likes theme photos and titles. I'd not told anyone of our contact zora and would not do anything 'below the belt' anyone much less to such a sweet person as yourself. It's not me. All this other stuff going on, well, I'm not sure about some it it myself.
  25. With having a lot of heavy rain the past month, I think it's helping to wash dirt and stuff away and I found these partially above ground...right in the backyard driveway area! The green cat's eye was the first one about 3 weeks ago, it looks to have 5 vanes, then the black line last week and just today, the brushed patch. As I am told by my elderly neighbors, there must have been about 20 boys that played marbles in this area back in the day and there's a hilly area to go look too! Also found 2 wheat back pennies, 8 regular pennies and a dime. Have a great day! :-) Felicia
