  1. That's one heckuva Popeye, Ron. And a really nice group of peewees!
  2. Haha, certainly a crazy looking little mascot - pretty typical for Japan at that time though.
  3. That's a great piece of paper, Ron. Do you think they're referring to polished clay marbles?
  4. That's a great box, Ron. The red/orange, white and blues are pretty distinctive - pretty sure I have some of those.

If it's as orange as it looks in the photo (and not more amber) it's a harder to find color.

It's Alley or Ravenswood, leaning slightly Alley.

It's definitely a little different but I am thinking Akro.

    Zebra!

Looks Akro to me. Zebras are Peltiers.

    Ruby

    Looks like JABO to me.
  10. It looks like the equatorial yellow and purple ribbons spread out to cover what would normally be a white patch on the bottom pole.
  11. The big orange one in the middle and the blue one below it are Alley. And that's an Akro Prizename just lower right of it and a Vitro All Red right above it. The orange on white swirl at 9 o'clock is probably Alley too, as is the blue on green one upper right.
  12. Some mighty nice bedding, no doubt.
  13. I think it's a Grenier - German. The ox looks like it's just caked on. I like it so much that I can't part with it, even though it looks like it was used to pound nails.
  14. I'll bet that would light up a room from the windowsill.

Thanks for the reminder - I really need to think of that possibility more often!
  16. The process of veneering really is kind of a wonder.

    Bummer

The internal action reminds me a little of an MFC tornado but the glass and color reminds me of CAC.
  18. It's important to keep in mind that only the early batch glass marbles have the pure bright white. In later years they used cullet like everyone else.

    Bummer

I noticed that it looked like it might be hand gathered but still . . .?
