  1. Almost certainly. Imagine if you were a kid who just spent your allowance on a bag or box of marbles. You would be pretty unhappy if you found out that you got one less than you paid for. We might think these are cool and worthy examples but they are worthless for their intended purpose.

    Vacor? .66

Yes, they can get a little Peltier-looking sometimes.
  3. Wow, Brad, that is awesome! A museum piece, for sure. The marble is sweet too!
  4. Can you imagine that on a drug store facade!
  5. And you may want to look close at the black in sunlight to check for AV sparkles.
  6. I agree. It definitely helps when you show any seams.
  7. I wondered about that the minute I posted, it's really exquisite.
  8. Wow, the one with the agate blade and green dyed agate ball is awesome!
  9. I was under the impression that some stone, maybe even marble, was imported to Germany. Does anyone else have ideas about this?
  10. The only Pelt I see is upper left. The rest appear to be West Virginia Swirls. Pelts will most often have 4 ribbons running seam to seam - two on each half of the marble.
  11. That looks like a CAC to me.

    Maybe a Duolite?
  13. Nice marble. Not CAC, more likely Alley, I think.
  14. You definitely found a good one, James!
  15. Manufacturers' QC processes made them rare, no doubt.
  16. Great marble, Chad - way to start the day!
  17. It's a pretty crazy thought but the chocolate covered marbles have me thinking about a candy coating.
  18. Marbles are toys first, and they need to roll straight. I am sure that was and is the most important thing for any manufacturer.
  19. I think purple on Pelts is very uncommon, in general.
