  1. I'll keep you in mind, Brad, but I am pretty fond of it!
  2. And they always ruin it for the rest of us.
  3. Funny, Brad, sounds like you still have a ways to go. lol And it always surprises me when you find matching marbles so far separated in time and space, but it does happen - certainly less so with something like a distinctive hybrid though - It's all about the numbers.
  4. There are lots of dug Akro patches that look like unspun corkscrews.
  5. I agree with Vitro on the first one. The third almost looks like an odd unspun Akro Life Saver.
  6. I am not really seeing Opal for the first two.
  7. Might just be be an outler - is the base opaque?
  8. Nice mibs and great pics. I assume you checked the base on this one - it looks a bit more Opalish than the others.

Not entirely sure, but I think the smaller ones are actually the less common ones.
  10. My contribution to the not oxblood and "not transparent and not opaque—just different" bricks - Cornelians Some people might call the one on the right a "Mulberry Brick".
  11. I'd guess CAC on the first and Akro on the second - nice slags!

That does look like a real possibility doesn't it. It'd be a nice one - sort of a hybrid.
  13. I think boxes 3-4 are Marble King overruns or seconds that some Jobber purchased and filled the boxes with. Box 5 is undoubtedly JABO Classics - the marbles appear to be from the 1996-97 time frame.
  14. Charlie Stutsman was the source of many a back-filled Bicentennial bag and "Star Box". It would not surprise me if he had a hand in these too. He was very prolific! You can check out some of his paperwork here.
  15. I am not good with MK names, but IMO that first one you posted should have a name too - it'd be nice to know what it is.
  16. That's what I expected, but I didn't think it would be a surprise to you! Pretty cool, huh?
  17. This would be so much easier if we were next to one another holding that marble, but I'll give you a couple of tips. First, I have seen that "thick multi-filamentous wispy striping" (for lack of better terminology) on quite a few Alleys. And second, if you look at the cut-off (seam sorta) on the top of the marble as you posted it, it sorta looks like someone dragged a butter knife through the hot glass and the "striping" is kinda drawn out to fine points. I hope this helps - it's tough to put it in words.
  18. Some of this is so close to oxblood that only purists would probably argue about it. 🙂
  19. The newer version of MKs four color Cat's Eye.
  20. The first one is cool, Joep. Is the base opaque?
