  1. Just to add some perspective, those really are 3" Sammy's. I have been fortunate enough to see this board. It is probably about 30" round, and there is fitted storage for each of those 3" marbles in the base. The pics really don't do it justice. This is a beautifully crafted museum quality piece.
  2. Thanks Al, I have nine of these bags, none with a single type of marble, or any with even one marble like yours or the OPs, and I do not think any of them were filled by Champion for the bicentennial in 1976. (I'll try to come back with pics a bit later). Have you ever seen an original bag filled by Champion? I don't think I have. Maybe @wvrons or someone else has an authentic one to show.
  3. I have no idea what this might be called other than bifurcated. It is a Peltier, right? Spidermelon sounds like a Marble King name - cross between a Spiderman and a Watermelon?
  4. Very nice, Chad! They are pretty great - here's another, among friends.
  5. Good Morning, Chad, I thought I'd get it going just in case you decided to sleep in past 5:00 AM today! lol 🙂
  6. I recognize that beautiful display - one of the best ever! You'll get a workout playing solitaire on that board. I am looking forward to seeing you again soon too!
  7. I'll keep you in mind, Brad, but I am pretty fond of it!
  8. And they always ruin it for the rest of us.
  9. Funny, Brad, sounds like you still have a ways to go. lol And it always surprises me when you find matching marbles so far separated in time and space, but it does happen - certainly less so with something like a distinctive hybrid though - It's all about the numbers.
  10. There are lots of dug Akro patches that look like unspun corkscrews.
  11. I agree with Vitro on the first one. The third almost looks like an odd unspun Akro Life Saver.
  12. I am not really seeing Opal for the first two.
  13. Might just be be an outler - is the base opaque?
  14. Nice mibs and great pics. I assume you checked the base on this one - it looks a bit more Opalish than the others.

Not entirely sure, but I think the smaller ones are actually the less common ones.
  16. My contribution to the not oxblood and "not transparent and not opaque—just different" bricks - Cornelians Some people might call the one on the right a "Mulberry Brick".
  17. I'd guess CAC on the first and Akro on the second - nice slags!
