Those do look great backlit, Jess - I like bubbles! I back light almost every marble I come across - you never know what you might find inside. And some marbles, like the one I showed, are downright sad without it.

This is oxblood in a clear/amber base - too dark for me. I gave it away. \ It was a big one.

I'm not that keen on Akros . . . they usually find a new home soon after they come to me.

The antique color is really pretty and that Akro blue slag is unforgettable - beautiful.

Alley made some pretty cool game marbles, for sure. I remember a game Galen posted a long while back - I think it was called "Glass Mosaic" or something like that. It had lots of Alley caligraphy-style (if I remember right) game marbles (monochromes - I like the description). Maybe somebody saved a pic (@steph?). I sure wish I would have - the mibs, I think peewees, were really cool.

I am so glad you got access, Ron. Of course, I have a number that have been laying around here unidentified - until now. Both the marbles you posted are dandies. I realized there were two in your first post. But I figured you must especially like the second one, since you posted it twice. You know, I think we could work out all of this confusion though. You could just send me one of those two second examples. 😁

Yeah, a lot of them are kind of blah. But certainly not all of them.

Heck, I wouldn't kick that one out of my keeper box! Some people like them sloppy with AV, and mine is pretty over the top. But I prefer them a bit more refined . . . . . . like me. 😎

Feathered slags are great and that's a very nice marble in the op, I can see why you're thinking Peltier, for sure. I would like to see some examples of hand-gathered Pelt slags. Do you have any of those?
