  1. That is a good one, other than the frame bump, which is impossible to avoid, it looks like a continuous movie.

    3 to ID

The last one looks like someone pounded nails with it - downright galactic looking, kind of cool. Does the dirty white glow under UV?
  3. . . . a fellow Hoosier found another. I think Kokomo marbles are interesting and great fun to collect. No doubt, they are much less common than Pelts, but I doubt I have seen half a dozen I would call pretty. The vast majority wouldn't even come close. But that is just fine with me because I don't really care for marbles that are too flashy - unless they are WV swirls, of course. BTW, I think the middle one in the group of three could be a Kokomo too.
  4. The bottom (or right) one is likely Kokomo.
  5. Hey Miser, I couldn't be there either. Anyone out there have a report for us?
  6. Thanks for showing them folks, but are there any snakes that aren't Akro out there?
  7. Found at a yard sale this morning . . .
  8. You won't find it on Ravenswood marbles very often.
  9. They are all nice but that red, white and blue one in the 'unknown' group is very interesting, and the RWB in the last shot is great. I'd like to see more pics of them!
  10. Bill, those last two trays are sweet. And Jerry, that first marble is off the hook.
  11. Come on, Bill, you know I wouldn't do that.
  12. That is hilarious. Thank you for the laugh! I'm pretty sure it's a Christensen.
  13. Those are some dandies Ed. If the first one is still in the "are" category and you would like to move it to the "were" category, please let me know!
  14. Wow is right. I'd say there are some real keepers here - the Leighton and the egg-yolks are outstanding and the twins are super cool! This one's kind of dark but . . .
  15. Yea, I'm not suggesting it was like "let's start making sweet flames now" or "let's switch over to octopi". They are random swirls, no doubt, chance is most of it with respect to any particular pattern. I was only suggesting that a good glass team could setup their tanks, stream and shear operations to tilt the odds towards producing the kind of marbles they wanted. I doubt Alley wanted his marbles to look like Christensen's or vice versa. Surely, companies tried to distinguish themselves with glass quality and colors too. Isn't that why we can still distinguish many of them today?
