Master Marble Sunburst post No 2 - A mostly blue one
Ric replied to The Nickel Guy's topic in Marble I.D.'s
I think Art may be on to something. It looks like some South American marbles I have seen. -
Hmmm . . . these are always a challenge. I am not seeing Ravenswood. I think Champion or Alley are better possibilities.
-
Did you post a more swirly version of that first marble earlier? I may need to revisit that post based on this marble - this one looks a little Vitro to me but it's unusual, and I am not entirely sure what to think about it. Maybe something will come to me later. Your second marble impresses me as a Champion but Alley would be my second choice. It is not uncommon for yellow glass to react with UV. The purplish blue color you see is not fluorescence, it's just a reflection of the visible light coming from your source.

I agree with Charile, the structure looks Akro to me, and the glass looks like a variant of the "Ade base", which glows like nuts.
-
Very interesting marbles. They are similar to other marbles I have seen from Brazil and Argentina. Stephanie started a thread about these types some time ago. You may find it interesting.

As far as I know, this Vitro Type I Tiger Eye color combination is unnamed. The only named Tiger Eye that I can think of is an "Alligator Eye". There may be others though, I don't keep up with names very well. In general, Type I Tiger Eyes will have two different colored ribbons around the equator, a white patch on one pole, and a colored patch on the other pole (yours is a little goofy), and all of the colors are veneered on transparent base glass.

Nice coverage on that one. -
I see Master too.
-
I'm thinking Sistersville Alley - pretty sure I've seen similar.
-
It looks a bit more Master than Akro to me, but both companies made brushed patches and they can be very similar.
-
The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...

It looks like most, if not all, are Master Made or Akro Agate - nice score! -
There are quite a few good examples of Master lashes in this thread:
-
JABO Classic, IMO.
-
@DHUNNIE 27 The "Ade base" that you will find in Lemonades, Limeades, Cherryades, Blueberryades, and other Akros will usually produce a very strong green/yellow response under UV. It'll be obvious once you get your hands on a few. (Not my pic, Chad posted it a while back - not his pic either.)
-
I do think the first is a Vacor Sunset and that the others are not American made either - they may be Vacors or Asian (Imperial?) types.
-
I think Alley is a real possibility.
-
Neat bit of beach glass but there isn't really enough detail for an attempt at identification.
-
The first looks like it might be a hand-made of some sort - the pictures are a bit out of focus so it's hard to tell. The others look like JABOs to me.
-
That's a beauty - really nice colors and symmetry!
-
It's a swirl of some sort. Correct color is going to be important for this ID since Alley and JABO both made similar. From these views, I am leaning JABO.
-
Sure look like Rainbos to me - good ID!
-
-
That's a Marble King Patch & Ribbon.
-
I think this is a JABO contract marble - not sure which run.
-
It looks like a JABO Classic to me.
