Why Is This Guy Stiil Around?

the 3 seams are in the 3 different photos of the seams - a marble would normally have one seam (or two) depending on who made it, but if you look at the main picture 1 the second picture 2 and the 4th picture they each show a different seam - the main eBay photo pacraz is using is a swipe of the Bluegrass marble collectors site (exact same image with reflection of light in exact same spot) ipso facto - the first image doen't represent the marble Pacraz sold which would actually be the marble in pictures 2-3 & 4 , they (bluegrass marble collectors) has also placed the picture as their avatar on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/popculturizm?cropsuccess#!/group.php?gid=110034782371586 - bluegrass image was posted on may 1st - auction ended may 23rd (2 days ago) -

I figured it out Pacraz swiped the main image for the Bluegrass Marble Collectors home page and used it for his main picture and the other 3 images are of a different marble - if you notice for the 4 photo's on the auction site, there are 3 different seams http://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-ANTIQUE-VINTAGE-GLASS-TOY-MARBLES-CHRISTENSEN-AGATE-/140408515705?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Marbles&hash=item20b0ffec79 http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=110034782371586&v=wall#!/group.php?gid=110034782371586 -

that's pretty amazing - what is the crack an "annealing" line? (there's that word again) so he heated up the marble to fix it? or fashioned a new marble out of different pieces? -
Hi from the Jersey Shore (that's about as far away as we can get and still be in the USA)

Have been going to the same FM for more than 10 years ever friday, final got smart and started handing out flyers - so people would bring marbles - starting pay off - picked this up this morning - fellow wanted 3 bux each - when I group them together total was 25.00 for 18 - some pretty nice ones IMHO (thank God it's Friday)

Hi looks very similar to some of the Circa 1920"s Bowling figures, I assume it's cast metal (could be dowst brothers) - does it have a hole for mounting in the base? would have gone with some type of lane (usually tin litho) O'briens toy books show some of these. atleast that is a direction to go in.

A Reamer With A Re-Melt!
popculturizm replied to I LOVE MARBLES's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
word of the day - "Annealing", in metallurgy and materials science, is a heat treatment wherein a material is altered, causing changes in its properties such as strength and hardness. It is a process that produces conditions by heating to above the re-crystallization temperature and maintaining a suitable temperature, and then cooling. Annealing is used to induce ductility, soften material, relieve internal stresses, refine the structure by making it homogeneous, and improve cold working properties. ah wha....? -

Another new one I just got, 3/4" looks like an Akro on the Oxblood side (has some crystals in the red) but not sure if I would call it Oxblood (although many no purists would) thank you in advance Pop.
-
Found this today at a local antique shop - slightly smaller than 1/2" (makes it a pee wee right?) Blue Swirl any ideas as to who would have made it thanks in advance Pop.

I think the front far left one leans in that direction (would be lighter if back lit) pretty sure these are all Pelts (and no Jabo's, but one never knows these days)
