  1. having always played the 'head to head', the scoring there is much easier to figure out.lol for one, your defense does not get points for special team plays. it's straight up points for yards gained. with the same points for a touchdown that the team gets... anyway, this may take me a few years to figure out, but it's just for fun~ right? ohh that's a hard thing to say... and I fully confess to being a football addict!
  2. you are so welcome! glad they stayed together! and even happier they gave ya a smile ... or two! :-)
  3. i can't figure out the 'casual' league points either. thats why i like the head to head leagues better. the scoring is simple!
  4. next year can we PLEASE do the head to head league? this 'casual' league kinda bites. It shows I have a minus 4 on cutler... in head to head he gave me over 10 points, and there's no DB, S, or DL on the team in head to head.... it's easier to compete, figure points and a live draft is the best... ok, off my soap box... just cast my vote for a head to head team next year ok? well maybe i am just too competitive? I live for football! ps... congrats cleats!
  5. LOL! steph... this is an easy league. it's not cut throat, head to head, with a live draft. now there's some pressure! and I love it!
  6. here's hopin it's the best one EVER!!! HAPPY B- BUDDY!!! WOOHOOO! D&E
  7. so maybe they were called 'slags' because they were swirled with white and resembles the glass slag sheet? omg could it be that simple? besides, 'slag marbles' is a collectors term....
  8. i may need to retract what I said. I got an email that said caca never used cambridge glas... hmmmm
  9. hi! in the case of cac... they bought 'slag' glass from cambridge glass right? I would take it as the imperfect, broken pieces, leftovers from their glass manufacturing. Slag meant leftovers and crap glass in that useage. (reused, recycled glass) Since glass was considered expensive I would have to imagine, when there was second hand glass to buy, it would have been a big bonus to the marble companies. In the antique world it is as mike said, colored glass mixed with white or sometimes clear. Does this makes sense? LOL!
  10. here's some really nice crossthrus... sorry if I hijacked this thread.lol but there's some cool ones in here. cross-thrus
  11. I love those! picked one up in Tacoma July show. they look good enough to eat! remindes me of lime hard candy...yumyum!!
  12. hey Bill, can we see a picture of the alley sitting behind the pretty blue one?
  13. akro did. I have never been able to figure out if they were done intentionally or by accident. Akro experimented with stuff like that too. but usually in a larger size.
  14. THANKS KEVIN. jabo jokers etc. go up today...
  15. Hi guys. I am listing some great groups of marbles this week. they are not mine, but belong to friends. They too have had a really tough go of it in this economy(as many have).Your bids would really help them out, and you could get some nice marbles too! you'll know which ones are theirs by clicking on the auction page, or notice I have put 'please read' in the title. I clearly state in the Ad they are being sold for someone else. i will be adding to the list today and tomorrow. thanks all! zaboos auctions
  16. Barewood knows. LOL i am betting he knows who I bought it from in clarksburg too? (no it wasn't roger) it is a dug akro. there were only a very snall amount of these found. this was a number of years back. Hey barewood... when are you going to list some more killer marbles? I thought it would be fun to show that one cannot always know for sure what company made a marble simply by what it 'appears' to be.
  17. not a peewee, sorry.... 13/16 yeah i've heard about those mail issues... no guesses?
  18. trying differnt things with your camera is dang good advice! my camera has several lighting settings as well, one has blue control, one for sunlight, one for indoor lighting. each has a color difference for capturing true colors. Sometimes the hard part is getting a true shade of pink to show, expecially in glass for some reason. But I know i have said this before, but using a matte blue background can help sometimes. Something to do with how the digital cameras see the colors I guess. Should you ever encounter the problem. try the blue, it usually works. (lol Kevin... yeah I take mine serious too... obviously ) ps... nice Cat, love the aventurine
  19. camera's flash, 1 foot away, manual focus, and the f-stop at 11. no extra lights at all. only sometimes do I use an extra light... and it's usually an energy bulb, 60 watt. bought at walgreens. LOL
  20. sooo, y'all would say this one was made by who??? (real answer later...lol)
