FWIW... i have seen german slags with that cut off line. so close in fact, i have shown to others and they said MFC, when in fact it was german. it's such an odd color, i personally think it could be either, and maybe a color change happening too. whatever it really is, it is way COOL!

Hi all, sorry we haven't been around in awhile. swamped on this end with little boy, lab puppy (yes she's a real Marley!) and the July Spectacular marble show! If anyone is even 'thinking' about coming, get that reservation quick! we have 8 rooms left in the block is all, and end date is july 1st to get the great room rates! Also after that date, not only will it cost you a lot more for a room, but there's no guarantee you will even be able to book in the same hotel. Hope to see ya there! all info is on website too. we dont have the vast collection you do Galen, but I looked thru ours, slags included, and I would have to say no... I saw a few with indents at the fold line, as made melts , you know what I mean, but nothing weird or raised... why do you ask?? (inquiring minds need to know.LOL)

ok bo. hubby wants to know who's EVERYONE he wants names. he said he called them that years ago because they have spots. If EVERYONE thinks thats a bad name he won't call them that anymore. But EVERYONE knows a leopard doesn't change it's spots/ BUT, until recently I had never heard of a 'parrotlet' or a 'superteen' among others, but I dont see any contraversy over that. NOW lets look at the peltier names??? (lets not even start there ok?) yep there's company names for marbles and there's collectors names for marbles. and as far as Akro calling them leopards, no they never did. and personally Bo, I love ya like a brother. is there an 'official' list of approved marble names? whos in charge of that? LOL

crap. and there's no santa either Bo? yes they're a dug marble, and most are fluorescent.

ahhh. lots of girls played marbles!! they just wren't allowed much into tournaments back then. (how much does that stink?) Now the only reason I know this, is my 89 year old mother was the third grade champion marble shooter for her elementary school. and as she put it, it was about the only game girls were allowed to play with boys back then, but could only participate in school tournies. at least in her home town. which was small, but I'm thinking that may have been the way it was. and her fav shooter? an akro cork naturally, still had it until she gave it to hubby. (yeah that's right, gave it to him, not me!) she kept it in her jewelery box until a couple years ago.
