  1. Great idea! I applaud your efforts and research! Well done, Sir.
  2. And... out of the Pelt box it goes... lol
  3. I have it in with my Peltiers. I can just barely see a purple hue on some of the edges of the banana.
  4. I love that box! Amazing examples for sure.
  5. The Iowa Marble Club is holding a meeting on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at the Prairie City Community Building, 508 South State Street, Prairie City, IA 50228. Iowa Marble Club meetings are open to the public, admission is free and, as always, a tasty lunch will be provided. The Iowa Marble Club will offer free marble identification and appraisals as well as a free bag of marbles for the kids. A variety of antique, vintage and contemporary marbles will be on display from some of the nicest marble collections in the Midwest. Stop by to talk and learn about the history of toy marbles or even better yet -- bring your favorite shooter and knuckle down for a quick game of ringer! Don't worry though; the Iowa Marble Club doesn’t play "for keeps". Membership to the Iowa Marble Club is open to anyone who is interested in antique, vintage, and contemporary toy marbles. For more information on the club meeting or to join the Iowa Marble Club, please contact Chad Cline at [email protected].
  6. Looks Pelt to me all day long...
  7. I would swear CAC but I'm by no means a CAC expert. I didn't realize they could be so close in appearance.
  8. Here is the link to Darla's auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/301736145227?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D301736145227%26_rdc%3D1
  9. My deepest condolences to you and your family, Derrick.
  10. I have a Smileys box at home - I'll try to grab a photo tonight and put it up. I am also unsure of what a Peltier Canary would look like.
  11. Correct, the marble show is simply a "multi-color" not a "multi-color swirl". Yes, the fruit cocktail family have clear base glass.
  12. I stand corrected. My sincere apologies.
  13. Dug multi color... Boyce and Mike dug dozens of that style.
  14. Here are a couple of the Jolly Rogers... they both have the orange peel surface that Alan mentions. http://www.mibbage.com/html/akro/00294.htm http://www.mibbage.com/html/akro/00054.htm
  15. Now Ron... I don't know why you like the Pelts so much, I mean after all, there are soooo many other companies to collect I think I recognize a couple of those beauties! What is inside of your No. 28 box? Slags? Looking forward to catching up this fall in Decatur. BTW - welcome to the forum.
  16. It is the generic pink jobber box that was considered to be quite plentiful in the early 90's. You used to be able to buy them by the 100's in Amana.
  17. I lean towards Kokomo.

    Cac?

Agree with Mike. This marble was not from the Mansion run.
  19. I'm not disagreeing by any means because I don't have the marble in hand but what about it tells you that it is old? The pontils don't look quite right to me to be a 19th century piece.
