  1. Carefully studying with bright light and 10X glass, I can find nothing beneath the surface. The camera picks up more red than I can see without the camera, but the red is there thinly bordering the white definitely on the surface. The interior is completely clear, tinted purple. Wha da ya think? Thanks. Burt
  2. Thank you. Now, this one has no internal swirls. The white stripes are only surface. Can it still be a slag?
  3. I understand an indian marble has either an opaque base or a translucent (maglite) base. This one that looks like an indian has a transparent purple-tinted base. Any ideas? Thanks.

  5. Wow, Griff, you may be right. Not many produced two seam, stripped transparent marbles. Any ideas which run they are associated with? Maybe someone will have some like them and remember. Thanks for your help. Burt

  7. Thanks Steph. I wasn't thinking Marble King. It seems to me that this kind of marble was discussed here at one time, but I don't remember the comments. Maybe foreign??? Maybe some sort of blended M.K.??? Maybe............help!!! Burt

  9. That marble has a white opalescent base with a baby blue oval patch bordered by a narrow yellow/orange ribbon around 2/3's of the baby blue patch with another wider yellow patch completing the circle around the baby blue patch and touching both cut lines.

  17. Just received word from Ed and Millie Parsons reporting that Joe Wilkinson, long time marble collector, passed away today. Joe was a great friend who sold marbles on eBay under the handle "fantasysg". Joe frequently attended the shows and always brought quality marbles. His smile and friendship were contagious. Our prayers for comfort go out to his lovely wife, Jan.
