  1. All I can help with is that I visited their store and had a personal tour of the GREAT museum - I STILL am in awe!
  2. This is GREAT news - I wish you all the best!
  3. No matter what, those beauties are great marbles - very nice job - congrats!
  4. lol... you guys - blend, mix, twirl, spin doesn't matter as long as you like the results!
  5. Here are two marbles made using the metallic properties that take two colored glasses and make a third color. There were NO black rods used in making these examples - the metals reacted together to make the dark and black colors. Kinda cool I think!
  6. https://www.facebook...154599937922001 computer crowd - can't type tonight for some reason...lol
  7. When I was at Jabo, out in the Fenton cullet was a similar looking dog but it was opaque and yellowish in color and glowed under UV light. Not saying yours is Fenton, just relaying what I saw. Good luck in finding out what it is - it's a nice piece!!!!!
  8. Hey Al, this year at my marble show, we are not charging any entrance fees and parking is free too. I hope that draws more foot traffic in 2012.
  9. Thanks Edna - I learned something thanks to you! Question: did you make any 3/4" sized Santas? (hint, hint...lol)
  10. I remelt cat's-eyes together to make bigger marbles - will have some at the Vegas show to sell too!
  11. I have failed at 3 attempts to make a sulphide because the figurines I used were not the correct ones. I can't find (been looking for 2 years) fir the correct type. I used Wade from England = bust...lol I tried COE 104, COE 33 and COE 96 all cracked for me. Davis is good at sulphides and is a glass blower and so is Hogue and he has nice success too. I believe it's the torch that can't surround the figurine fast enough with heat that has caused my troubles. I'll keep on trying - in a few days a glass blower and I are going to do a co-op art project of marble making. I'll post pictures when we get done.
  12. Duffy - what if the vaneer shows on 40% of the marble - is the white considered a color then?
