They're not unique. That's a big discussion. Some people say eyelashes not only mean Akro, but they mean Akro from the 1920's from before Ira Freese tinkered with the machines. I strongly disagree. Every now and then someone will post a marble from another maker to show non-Akro eyelashes. But all Akro corkscrews were made after Ira Freese did his famous tinkering at Akro. Every now and then some just ended up with lashes. I think it's just about whether the shearing mechanism is getting worn or needs sharpening.

I sort of wanted to say sparkler, but the green is odd looking to me so I held back.

Pelt Rainbo on the top. Bottom one in that first post could also be Peltier. Someone else mght have another suggestion though. WV Swirl on your son's marble ... I'm wondering if it could possibly be Heaton. Just throwing that out there though. I usually miss when I guess Heaton. Someone else will probably come in with a clearer idea.

Yes, some people take group shots, like four marbles, with several photos showing different views of the same group. That's manageable. But new threads for new marbles is definitely best. Hard to keep straight which marble is being discussed otherwise. Vitro Conqueror on the bottom, with the aqua and white. That's from the 1940's. Let's get some more opinions on the other two.

Very good chance of Akro. 2nd choice Vitro. Now someone will come in and say "slam dunk Vitro"

At 19/32" it could be a game marble. I'm sticking with Japanese.

What size? Smaller than average?

I assume the top is a WV swirl. I'd guess Ravenswood or Alley. Second is another WV swirl. Pretty sure Alley. Any reason to think the aqua and brown is older? Because it looks like a newish marble -- a Jabo. I can't tell how many marbles we're looking at after that point. Might be a Jabo in there. But one view which sort of looked Jabo has some older looking wear so maybe it's Champion. I broke your other posts from this thread off into new threads so that it would be easier to discuss the marbles in those posts.

I think some kind of West Virginia Swirl. (The question might have been between slag and swirl with those colors -- and I'm saying swirl.) There were several companies who could have made it in the 30's through 50's. Others such as Ron ( @wvrons) might be able to narrow it down to one or two companies. I can't.

So far I am leaning Master because of how lines seem to radiate out from what looks like it could be a U-shaped cutline in this last view.

Interesting marble. I don't know. The windows on the ends make me it could be a vintage Japanese marble.

Welcome, Jen. I so wish I had thought to rescue my dad's childhood marble bag before he decided that it was too worn to keep any longer. I knew about his bag before I started collecting marbles, but after I started collecting I let a few years lapse before it occurred to me to ask him about it, and when I asked it was too late.

That's what I was thinking. If older, they look like Vitro, but they have sort of a modern Vacor look.

I think you should have an easier time uploading the pictures you want now. No need to make them small. Check it out.
