Hi there. You just sprained my eyeballs. I didn't know micas came in so much variety.

Some insight has recently been shed on that. Others such as Richard and Winnie will be more comfortable addressing it than I am. They'll be by soon, I'm sure.

Thank you for sharing. That's why I always like to hear from "newbies" to remind me of how it felt to enjoy marbles just because they were pretty little things before I learned all the dry identification and history.

Beautiful. And the dates make it even better. I wouldn't have guessed quite so late, and yet I'm not surprised. I'm a little sad picturing Ward keeping all those marble in the box and not playing with them. I guess he had plenty of others to play with.

I never even think about Heaton when I think about clearies. In some portion of my mind I realized they made clearies -- for industrial purposes. I didn't know they bagged 'em for play.

I gotta get a better picture of them. Gotta nail the luscious amber. Maybe I should actually take them in brandy! That's something Bob would do.

Any developments to report here? Have we totally sidetracked you with collecting?

I see all your swirls in the gallery. Just imagine me commenting. I checked some other folks' photos and I see where I can comment on them. Just not yours! Grr. I wonder if it's old photos versus recently uploaded photos ... or it's literally only your album or what.

Sometimes marbles which have been buried a long time end up iridescent.

Next up! America's Got Talent! This girl ... I woke up with that song in my head for five days straight. Didn't wake up with it in my head this morning ... took an hour or so for it to return to my mental playlist. Just wow.

DAS, the Warnelis Trophy Run, 5/31/16 Cannot do these justice. Sometimes you need more sunlight to bring out the colors. These are pretty in the sunlight but even prettier in the dimlight ... like a goblet of brandy. Except you need to bring it into the light to see the lutz -- you may be able to see a spray on the bottom row, 2nd from the right.

pssst .... it's getting close to time for red, white and blue ....
