  1. Gray is good. Wouldn't necessarily think gray would be good. But gray is good.
  2. Oh, I didn't see the red one. Does that one have a name? It makes me think Wedding Cake, but not quite.
  3. Here's a larger Akro. Can't remember size exactly. Maybe 7/8". What say you about the seams?
  4. very pretty I like the crystal base.
  5. I am confident that Bogard made standard cat's eyes.
  6. These are contemporary handmade ones. I'm going to move the thread over to the main chat forum to see if anyone recognizes makers. Sometimes people will sign their work. Do you see any initials etched into any of them?

    Pelt Patches

What do you have in the way of Pelt patches? Classic PPP's and Realers would of course be welcome. I'm also interested in seeing some of the less common or less recognized and even the suspected but unconfirmed ones.
  8. No need to change the title. Just started a new thread because I realized that I was thinking about a completely different angle.
  9. When I saw the title of Jelle's Micro Marble Run thread, I thought of a micro machine, not micro marbles. Tiny marble machines using small marbles -- maybe ball bearings for speed -- could be fun. You could keep one on your office desk.
  10. http://marbleconnection.com/topic/19990-who-made-marbles-with-redwhiteblue/
  11. I'm not sure what to make of them. Are they "blended"? Do they have some special name?

  13. That appears to be bubbles inside, not mica. I really think this could be a Master Cloudy. If that's so, then it's a relatively uncommon. Well, I don't know how common it is, but probably most people who have them don't know what they have. I had some when I first started collecting and didn't know what I had and sold them cheaply. I don't know what value they should have, but it should be quite a bit more than an ordinary solid-colored marble. If it is indeed a Master Cloudy, I'd call it a keeper.
  14. Yup. The bottom group have fractures. But that's what I expect in a Copperhead. I just wanted to have one, any one, and there were three (along with all the rest). It was an offer I could not refuse.
  15. That's really bright green ... maybe too bright for what I have in mind but I'll put this out there anyway. I'm wondering if it belongs with the marbles on the left side of this box.
  16. Oooh oooh oooh! Could it be a Master Cloudy? What shades did they come in?
  17. I should have admired the chalky out loud. I have some chalkies but nowhere near that thick. Very artistic how it is outlined by the color.

    Akro Ades

Don posted some Tomatoes for me. Tomato Ace Cork Shooters Ace Cork Shooters So, not Ades. But same family. Akro name: Moss Agates. Collectors' name: Ace (and Tomato Ace ) Thanks, Don. I really want to finally learn and finally remember the names for the red varieties.
  19. Vote: gorgeous Alley flame on the top one. On the bottom ... the colors make me think of an Akro corkscrew. But I'm not seeing a corkscrew in the pattern. I'll wait for someone else to say.
  20. It has been noted that the black bananas seem to be a little fuzzy, in a way which sets them apart from typical Peltier bananas. To me that -- and the bag evidence -- are what put the black bananas in the Master's camp. I think Master made the marbles in their cat eye bags.
