  1. No ... I can't find anything tagged Harrisburg ... other than tournament buttons with the names you already have listed. Edit: actually I saw at least one article about the tourney but again not with a name you didn't already have. Edit #2: I also saw a button for the 11th annual tourney with a picture of the 1932 winner but I don't see a name.
  2. Who else makes single-seam guinea-like marbles?
  3. Gotta save this for the collection of pix of marbles which sometimes get confused with each other.
  4. I'll have to look in my files. The only city I had a conscious focus on was Beckley, WV. I kept finding so much on Beckley that it got its own folder. Harrisburg, hmmm .....
  5. Yes, Carnelian. (a special marble) And now I'm thinking we're looking at a different maker than Peltier on the banana-y one. Maybe Master. ... and I like it!
  6. Hello Heather. Thanks for posting this news. I'll move this thread temporarily into the main chat forum so everyone can see.
  7. Hello. Nice to meet you. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see more.
  8. I see them now! http://www.ebay.com/sch/boh-sar/m.html I'm going to move this to the main forum. Will leave a link in Buy-Sell-Trade though. And you should feel free to bump your thread as a reminder before the auctions end.
  9. Why? The seam made me think it was okay as CAC. But I'm just a dabbler with CAC's.
  10. Two more boxes possibly being in the picture does complicate things. However, with so many slags contained in your lot, I think it's a reasonable bet that your box contained slags. You can always keep your two pieces together with photos and explanations and then sort the marbles however you find appealing.
  11. Galen, do you think you could whip us out a picture of some of CAC's Green & Reds?
  12. Yes, Champion was on Peltier packaging years before the Champion Agate Company was born and they still continued to use it later 'coz we see it on plastic bags.
  13. I still don't know what they are. So I don't recognize them as something collectors would intentionally collect.
  14. Hansel tried to post some pix. It didn't work. Here they are. Original contents? Mike? Any thoughts?
  15. Pigs are highly intelligent, misunderstood beings. (And I know you're generous. )
  16. My first thought is that the colors look like Vacor. [Edit: I'm not sure if the swirl pattern does though.] And how did I miss this post before? Thanks Darla for bumping it.
