  1. I think I could. You can feel the temps go down from "uncomfortable breathing" to "painful breathing" to "excruciating breathing". But I can't swear it. Pretty sure I've been in -20. I know from recent experience that things get quite nippy by -9. Pretty sure I stepped out into -20 once a few years ago, just to say I did it, and back inside I went.

    Anybody?

Now you guys are seeing what I was seeing. I'm still not saying not MK. But ...... definitely worth a closer look.
  3. Pretty sure Alley. Both the red and the white have a touch of translucence. In a Christensen you're generally going to have very opaque or quite transparent. The translucence points to a WV swirl. And the flamey pattern points to Alley.

    Anybody?

I'm not saying not to Marble King! I just want to see it closer!

More views please. Also would be good to trim out some of that background to show off the marble a little more close-up.
  6. I don't remember a requirement that ribbons go under the surface in the Pelt Sub. I only remember it being a question of what the base glass looks like when backlit. [Edit: with the base looking mostly solid in natural light and going almost transparent when backlit] I have a different issue with the marble. I'm not 100% sure it's Pelt. The pattern looks more Marble King. I'm probably off base with that. I'm not aware of this color combo in Marble King. I'm just getting hung up on low ribbon count and the patch on the end. So, my answer is "maybe" [Edit: but probably not]
  7. Unable to tell what the marbles in the Coca Cola bag are. The bag is so crisp that I'm worried that they're Jabo and that the bag is a fantasy bag in spite of being mesh. But maybe it's actually an old bag and just happens to be as mint as can be.
  8. Hi, I think we're looking at Vitro or Akro. Could we have more views of the big red, white and yellow?
  9. I do not know. I suppose Master is possible. Yeah, it could be a cat's eye of sort with the ribbon close to the surface. I think that's a good color for a Master cat's eye. I think Vitro Victories also have that color of patch. Or the strange shape of a patch could point to a Pelt. Such a minimal ribbon of color makes it hard for me to commit.

    Toss Up

Not seeing Wales. At least, it would be as unusual for Wales as it is for any other pattern that I fit it into.

    Toss Up

I'll go with Cool Master or Cool Foreign.
  12. Tough to say. Something about it makes me think of Pelt. But ????? More pix in different light?

    CAC slag ?

I'm not seeing a slag. I'm also not seeing the single-seam part of it. Looks swirly to me.

    I'm so proud

P.s., I also once had a cat who was an amazing talent with the paper wad. He could jump up and grab them in the air. (And grab nerf footballs ... and birds.) One time a paper wad came sailing over my shoulder from behind as I was sitting on a sofa. And the only explanation was that somehow my fella had managed to hurl it from the next room. He never repeated that feat but he had impressive ball-handling skills.

My problem with letting my cats play with my marbles has been finding ones that I wouldn't mind them dinging or losing! It hurt a little even to let Bear skitter a Jabo Luster across the room. But fortunately for my marble playing fiend, hubby brought home a lot of cheap marbles recently -- no-name decorative iridescent marbles and the like. So Bear has plenty to play with now.
