    CAC slag ?

I'm not seeing a slag. I'm also not seeing the single-seam part of it. Looks swirly to me.

    I'm so proud

P.s., I also once had a cat who was an amazing talent with the paper wad. He could jump up and grab them in the air. (And grab nerf footballs ... and birds.) One time a paper wad came sailing over my shoulder from behind as I was sitting on a sofa. And the only explanation was that somehow my fella had managed to hurl it from the next room. He never repeated that feat but he had impressive ball-handling skills.

My problem with letting my cats play with my marbles has been finding ones that I wouldn't mind them dinging or losing! It hurt a little even to let Bear skitter a Jabo Luster across the room. But fortunately for my marble playing fiend, hubby brought home a lot of cheap marbles recently -- no-name decorative iridescent marbles and the like. So Bear has plenty to play with now.
  4. Hate to be a party pooper but that white looks too translucent to me to be CAC. I'm NOT a CAC expert, or any kind of swirl expert. But I do expect CAC's to have crisper coloring. I'm gonna say Alley.
  5. My cat won't drink water. Seriously. Not from a bowl. Not from a fountain. Not from a sink. The only thing she will drink is condensed goat's milk, and not much of that. She's making me crazy(er).

    .65 Akro?

Now when people do internet searches for Zambian marble makers they'll find this thread and think they have hit paydirt.

    .65 Akro?

it was made in Zambia with two swirl feeders, putting down a half dollop of yellow and then a half dollop of red, then sending it down the roller. Trust me!

Are you speaking of the curve of the patch itself? I was looking at all the curvy lines within the patch (and within the base) ... plus there's that little window between the red and the yellow. Not saying yay or nay -- just seeing if we're talking about the same kind of swirling.
  9. Liberty Mutual ads! Amirite?! The emu is okay, but Doug has to go.

    Akro ?

I could just as easily go with popeye patch though. It's not screaming Master at me. Just thinking ....

    Akro ?

Red, white and blue with totally clear base was an early Master combination. A paler blue in the early box that I'm most familiar with. But maybe?

    Oddly swirly. Hi Gladys!
  13. In the 1930's, "Spiral" was a specific type of corkscrew -- a colored ribbon (or a white ribbon) with clear base glass. But I did see some prominent marble literature from maybe the 1980's which said "spirals" when talking about corks. It might have been a MCSA publication. That's when I learned that there was some time period when "spiral" was the common term. I don't know when that started or how long it lasted. And I don't know when or where we got "corkscrew". I have wondered that also.
  14. I brought my Chromebook with me to work today just so that I could check for an important email between shifts. I forgot that a few days ago I changed my password from a different machine, so the password stored on my Chromebook won't work.
  15. I certainly didn't mean to imply Rick's marble was a Citrus. I was just brainstorming Pelts with purple. I've also seen some opaque no-name Rainbos with purple but that's a very vague claim so I didn't mention it and just mentioned the Citrus.

    3/4" Pelt?

    Pretty sure Marble King.
