  1. Peltier cans of worms are my favorite kind. There are always varying degrees of every type of marble, and your's does seem to have some copper zest to it. Although far from a copper-head, a neat oddball no doubt. Keep em' comin'.
  2. Nice lil bo' there Scott. Seems to have a little bit of copper on it. The colors remind me of Ann's wild colored copperhead.
  3. Yes, i believe them to be transparent based mushroom-types.
  4. I still consider them to be in the bee family even though they do have a greenish tint to them. A few of us out west used to call them 'neon bee's, but there is no official name for them that i know of. They have a UV looking color to them, but do not glow under UV light. Some are more pale than others, i was going to post some additional examples but i'm having difficulties in photobucket at the moment.
  5. This is bad news for any online sellers selling internationally. So to ship one marble to Canada will now cost $13.50 according the new USPS 2016 rate increases. It used to cost $7 (roughly). I think this may be the end of international marble sales at least for sellers selling low priced items. Will international buyers still want to buy a $10 marble that costs $13 to ship?
  6. Thats all? I'd buy the deeds to all the old marble sites if i won....
  7. So sorry to hear about this. Condolences to all who knew him.
  8. Yup, bombs away. The largest i've seen is a 13/16", i'd probably faint the day i see a 15/16" or 7/8".
  9. I believe them to be older. Not sure i would call the UV ones foreign though. Nor tie two ribbon marbles to any one maker/time period. Vitro also crossed my mind on the UVs. For the first one i think Griff had it right with Pel-tro-king-bo lol, but seriously i'm on board with winnie and trans. mushroom type, many of the transparent based ones look pelty.
  10. At the moment my feeling is that these deep uv based marbles are most likely not peltier. But im always open to new evidence.
  11. J.A. Pan is high on the suspect list for sure. Ann, the ruby slipper is a rainbo era marble, more ruby red and bubbly than the cherry bomb. The Cherry Bomb has late nlr style ribbons and is a brighter red. I find them more in the large sizes 23/32"+.
  12. Thought this was pretty cool. This used to be behind the counter at an old general store to sell as singles. Original contents still in it.
  13. This foreign marble is the closest one i've seen to a ruby slipper.
