  1. Yes the one with the central ridge and rough spot is a bullet mold. They were commonly used as bottle stoppers in 'Codd bottles'. The striped one could be a Dutch wirepull (Veligglas) 50's ish. I suspect the others are more modern. Welcome to the site.

I'd have gone with Akro but with uncertainty. Is the glass translucent or UV reactive?
  3. Agreed on both - the variations in conquerors still staggers me - I'm sure some of my unidentified vitros that I must photograph are yet more conquerors I've not recognised as such.
  4. I think Steph's nailed it - nice find

and Master bananesque 'blobs' remain as ugly as sin
  6. The ribbon tips look more typically Alley than Cairo to me (not familiar enough with Jabos to comment), but that fold could be Cairo (or Heaton).
  7. Could well be Alley - I've got a green swirl with a very similar structure that came with a few other St Mary's, but I don't know whether it's distinctive enough to rule out others.
  8. We use stationery as a catch all for office supplies.
  9. Looks good for a Ravenswood - I wouldn't worry about the name, they're not Ravenswood names, just collectors grouping.
  10. It looks good for Alley to me

    Handy to be aware of
  12. Agree with Steph (although I've got one )
  13. Agreed on one and three and clueless on two!
  14. Odd/small size is a good pointer to Akro
  15. Good idea Steph. Those patches intrigue me too - I don't know of any English production and I've not seen anything quite like them.
  16. Most of their production was around 20mm and mainly Cat's (but yes they did produce some sparklers (I've got a bag of Cat's from the glassworks)). Most Sparklers appear to have been of French origin (there's a French Marble thread buried in General chat showing a box of sparklers clearly labelled Made in France), but I can't uncover anything about French factories.
  17. Thank you. I like the Veiligglas. The sparklers are wonderful - but not Veiligglas as I understand it - I'd love to know where those and the patches were made.
  18. Buried in the garden for authenticity - you've got to dig up dug marbles.
  19. Welcome and nice marbles. I'd love to know something about the French marble factories if you know anything about where Sparklers were produced. Richard
