  1. I'm curious as to what that difference might be, if you don't mind sharing. Thanks! Soap box opportunity. LOL! I'm all ears!
  2. Thanks for the confirmation. So Ace and Moss both refer to that type of base. Yes, it is pretty "mint". I may have gotten that from a jar purchase which surprised me.
  3. I just saw something like this on eBay. Sounds like it is a mossy patch.
  4. I'm so thankful for this site. I try to look for photos of my marbles in books and marble ID sites before I post, but often don't have much luck. You would think I have such common ones that they'd be in the books. But I guess there are so many variations that it is impossible to show everything. But, people on this site have actually "seen them all". Thanks everyone!
  5. I looked on all the marble sites I could find, but alas, I need help once again to ID this marble. The closest I could find to this was an Akro Ace patch. .62" with a creamsicle patch and a brownish tracer (?). It looks so delicious as the base is a syrupy white (no bubbles). Thanks for your help.
  6. Thanks! I love the lemon peel yellow.
  7. I tried a dark background this time. Hopefully this helps. Thanks!
  8. Sounds good. I'll go with that. Thanks!
  9. Wondering if these belong to any one company. The ribbons are thick. The base is transparent with barely any bubbles. The first is .59", the next is .61" and the last is .58". Thanks.
  10. Cool orange one! I don't think I have one like that. I'm going to have to keep a look out for that color combo.
  11. Yeah, that green in the first one didn't look "vitro". I posted a marble like the last one a while back, but thought this one seemed more like a veneer. So I guess I'm not surprised that it is a pelt. I was thinking vitro for the middle because of the "strands" that look like those cosmos vitros. Hard to tell if they go into the marble or stay just on the surface. Looks like three strikes for me. But, it's all about learning! Thanks Steph!
  12. Catching up on ID'ing my marbles. Thinking that these are vitro? The first is blue and orange with a tiny bit of green ribbons (?) on a syrupy (in a bubbly way) slightly off white base, .64". The second is opaque yellow and white on a clear base with white strands that seem to be a veneer, .61". The third has write opaque ribbons on a transparent green base, .65". The whites remind me of the whites I see on my anacortes vitros. The first one reminds me of the colors I see on helmets. The orange also seems to have a wave that I see on some of my vitros. Thanks for the assistance!
  13. There was some discussion about the red color of all red marbles. Wondering if these are the older or newer reds. Thanks for the help!
  14. My untrained eye would have thought it was a Master. I probably need to go back to Steph's post on seams. So much to learn!
  15. I don't think I've ever seen an Alley like this before. I guess it will go into my "keeper" jar. Thanks!
  16. Oops! Sorry that I'm posting to a really old post!!!
  17. OMG! Sorry! I'm posting to a really old post!
  18. I just realized that I'm posting to some really old posts!!! I got into catching up that I forgot to look at the dates!!!!! I am sooooooo Sorry!!!!!!!🥴
  19. Beautiful hummingbird! Do they actually land and sit still?!?! (Just kidding. Although I feel like they never stop flying. HAHA!)
  20. I guess that's why people make music. They are free to express anything and only they really know what their songs are about, unless we are lucky enough to know them personally. It sometimes frustrates me, but then I think that maybe I should just write my own song. Kind of like the post on entropy. Gives the brain a chance to release pressure from the things that it wants to say but maybe feels it can't. LOL. (Okay, now my brain has gone beyond strained.)
  21. I would crash several drones before getting the hang of it. I will just enjoy everyone else's air shots. Nice!
  22. Government in general is slow to make any kind of adaptation. Can't wait around for them. We just have to rely on the noggin on our shoulders and a few good friends. Wishing you the best with your plans.
