Yeah, it looks like a bit of hvy pocket ware & some pitting, still a different looking one. I'd keep it, of course if your like me it's hard for me to toss any Pelt that isn't beat beyond recognition. i.e. "Pelt head"

Does it have aventurine ?? To be considered a Golden Rebel it must have Av. Still even if it has aventurine an odd one for sure. My best Golden rebel has av. in the black, red & yellow, with some green av. in the yellow

Gold is a bit off !! Av. = golden rebel "no av." not a golden rebel. Aventurine in at least the black ribbons is a qualifier for Golden Rebels. No av. Rainbo for me !!

No real way to tell once the "solid" ones are out of their original packaging, have to be considered ball bearings Brother, keep them well clear of your mibs, they'll scratch them almost on contact. If I were you I'd just toss em or give em to the grandkids for sling shot ammo (value "0") The only "solid steelies" that are worth any money have to be in the original packaging. Unless they're hollow then it's a gimme. The x looking pattern in the first pic is where they closed up the marble. Sizes all the way from pee - wee to around an inch. Nice job Steph I couldn't figure out that site for the life of me, to much reading I guess. You just saved me hours of looking again "Thank you & double thank you" I had someone trying to tell me that they were beat out by hand you can see the machine made shear cuts & the only way to close up the sphere is in a press. I worked with steel in a shipyard as a fabricator reading blueprints & welding for 13 years & am very familiar with a steel shop, metal lathe & steel shears, plasma cutter (gun), air arc (air carbon arc cutting), steel press etc... so the reason why I highly doubted the "handmade theory"

Anyone have any info on old steelie manufacturing methods ?? I was always led to believe the old hollow steelies were handmade in some manner. But I had my doubts, they all look machine cut & are to round to be handmade I would think. I had this in one of my folders, can't remember where or when I got it, I think off one of the forums ?? Any info would help. I tried to read the pat. number but found it impossible. If you could the date of application and person that applied is right there but still I was unable to find anything else out. There is only one site you can draw this info from, and for the life of me I can't remember. Maybe my mind is going?? After a couple hours of research the links, names & dates kinda get blurred a little bit. Here is the pic of the process & patent applied for drawing. Maybe one of you is a bit better at looking than I am. Certainly a mib related question that needs answering.

Looks like a modern repro ad marble, they pump these out by the thousands, inumerable logos & stamps on them, probably 1" most commonly. I forget the site but all they have is these, by the case or individually, they get about $3.00 each, but probably buy them in bulk for pennies, you could probably google a number of sales sites pretty easy. I'll post a link as soon as I find it. I just googled "Logo marbles" on Ebay & got 843 sales sites, almost every one 1" marbles, by the case or whatever you want. There are also sites with individual mibs but every site except one was all modern repro

Locks like it could be a piece of Imperial, some of their stuff doesn't have any marks on it. Or maybe a repro toothpick, nonetheless a nice piece

Sami has has some good pics of them in his book as well as the silver surfer & the rest of the family. This one walked right in my front door, I couldn't believe it, my friend didn't even see the av. in it or know what he had. A good day, this one came to me for once, HTF any in the wild anymore, especially a rare one !! I got my Pelt tiger avatar from Sami in a trade at the Seattle show in 2017. I've bought some really nice big Pelts from him, when I can get him to turn loose of them.

A "wiger" has a base of equal amounts of orange & red, or very near to it, with black ribbons or swirls, unlike a tiger or a wasp, wiger's usually don't have av. at least I have never seen one, but as usual, they do exist as their is an exception to every rule. Most wiger's I've seen are between 5/6ths & 11/16ths. A nova is on black or occasionally white base & most commonly has ribbons on varying in color from salmon to white and everywhere in between, sizes will vary a bit but almost all of them were 7/8ths, to near 1". Nova's, root beer floats & pink Champaign's were all part of a one day run at the pelt plant in late 1988. Peltier wiger's No av in this one just HVY pocket ware. A great example One with av. from the "Peltier marbles info site" I believe Chuck Sumner (cheese) is the owner. Hello marble Friends, My neighbor about two blocks down owns this same exact car clear down to the coke bottle wheels & black paint, minus the intake coming out of the hood & MSD logo on the door. 1969 Road runner, a car I only have dreamed about owning, he stopped next to me at the light @ my house as I was leaving yesterday, In gave a thumbs up and the infamous "meep - meep" Road runner horn sounded as he honked back at me. I'll try to remember to go & get some pics of it. A beautiful fully restored to stock cond. car. Another two toned purple 69 just up the hill about a mile away, same thing totally stock & time correct. 440's are probably not the best on gas mileage but still, a great looking ride. JUST AN M2 REPLICA I HAVE, HIS EVEN HAS THE SAME STOCK BLACK PAINT JOB ON IT, I THOUGHT I WAS SEING THINGS, MINUS THE "MSD' LOGO ON THE SIDE. & YES 68-69 MALIBUS & GTO'S ARE ALSO ON MY "MOST WANTED" LIST. I OWNED A 69 GTO 4004 2 DR SEDAN WHEN I WAS A KID, SOME REGRETS GETTING RID OF IT I GUESS, EITHER THAT OR POSSIBLY PASS INTO THE NETHER NETHER FROM LEAD FOOT DISEASE !! WISH LIST ??
