x2, Buy what you like IMO, your the only you, you have to make happy If it were a financial thing for me I'd be a pauper

Super low key, I was the only one here, a couple phone calls from close friends & a pumpkin pie I baked. Still a Blessing

Thanks for the pix Jeff One I don't see in any pix but have seen many sold & named as such is the black brick, do you have an opinion on these ?? This one has been slightly polished but still exhibits what I was looking for, I have seen some w/ trace amounts of white but very hard to detect. I remember when the mulberry brick was all the rage when they started digging them up in quantities. I believe it was Danni Kirk (Zaboo) who started selling them on Ebay ?? "Black Brick" Here's an unpolished example that sold as a "Black Brick"

I found an old picture I saved in one of my folders that may be of some interest ?? It took some digging and I'm not sure where it came from originally but I knew I had it saved somewhere. Just posting this as another point of discussion, maybe someone will remember where it came from & how accurate it is ??

I googled Livermore Colorado & it says the average elevation is almost 5,900 feet, it would take some getting used tom for me. I thought I used to live in the mountains @ 1,200 ft. Guess they were just hills !!

Appears to be a purple slag, heavy striations of opaque white in a trans purple base IMO.

"Welcome to Marble Connection Ryan" Great bunch of marbles, I agree w/ Steph. Not seeing any Christensen but a good grip of great West Virginia swirls. I do see the green slag on the bottom row second from the Left, a few Peltier's and @ least one Akro corkscrew third row up from the bottom second from the left. Be good to see each one closeup in greater detail w/ multiple views for a more concise I.D. Again "Welcome" This one is looking like a good Alley, can't be sure just from the one view but from what I see now a good marble, IMO

Ah yes I've seen the exact same one before. It's plastic if I remember right. $30.00 is probably around what it costs brand new. I guess if you like it then no loss ??

Just curious how many of you have had temps below frost (freezing 25 deg. F or below)or any measurable snow yet ?? If you have do you have any pix. It's like late Sept. early Oct. here It froze here in early Oct. then back to very early fall weather !!

Has anybody ever seen an authentic antique one besides in a museum ?? I know all I've ever seen is pix of real ones and repros in hand. Just curious if anyone had anymore info or pix of a genuine scrimshaw board ?? Do you have the link Brad ??
