Sorry, I can't tell if it's damage or a pontil. If it's a pontil you're right, if it's fractures or a chip it's machine made. This is what I can't quite make out.

Yes they R HTF. I had to wait a while for mine. Mint, I had several beat up ones in my hand but you get what you pay for and if I needed to sell a mint marble will be gone almost as soon as you post it. Patience, you'll find one

Joseph coats all have a window to the interior of the marble to where you can see the matrix, somewhere between the ribbons of color stretched between the poles, no matter the base color. An onionskin does not. Onionskins will have a base skin under the stretched ribbons making it impossible to see the interior, the most common colors are yellow or white for the skin, but they do vary.
