    1" ??

    Nice marble indeed ๐Ÿ‘
  2. Lol, I remember that, forgot to poke a little fun at him about it. Turn about would have been fair play after this post of mine ๐Ÿ˜Š
  3. My Sunday's Best, I decided to go with a group shot this time around, a gathering of Vitro Cat's. Lol, I will admit one of the ultimate sins, combining something other than Akro with an Akro piece, but couldn't help myself. Thought they looked pretty nice sitting in it ๐Ÿ˜Š
  4. I think I remember that about the copper also ๐Ÿ‘

    Vitro...

Going to see if I can pick up a battery today for my calipers so I can provide some sizes for my listings ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Vitro...

I wondered myself with all the luminous effects going on...
  7. 2001 A Space Odyssey? That reminds me, Didn't I see somewhere during the past few days that Ric Flair, at 73, is actually going to have a "comeback" match? Wow, when he said "Diamonds are forever, and so is Ric Flair", he wasn't kidding!
  8. A nice assortment for Saturday, been going through unsorted jars during my time off, none of which have been ID'd by the way. ๐Ÿ˜Š
  9. Nice Akro my friend ๐Ÿ‘
  10. Pretty mib ๐Ÿ‘

    Two for ID

Pelt or maybe a wild Coral? They are nice ones ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Lol, should have listed this mib for ID instead of here, especially with my doubts and assumptions. Oh well, we got to the bottom of it together, which is what's great about MarbleConnection...teamwork ๐Ÿ˜Š
  14. Here are a few more pics with a flash and with artificial light...see what I am seeing? Those faint lines and the glass has those "stretchy" looking lines...actually, the last 2 pics look kinda Peltish? IDK, it's just a bit too interesting for a clearie, your opinion respected of course ๐Ÿ˜Š
  15. I remember way back when card grading services first came into existence. I considered it but ultimately decided against sending any of my cards in for fear of the ole "switcheroo" scenario. I've only owned 1 Graded card over all these years and that was a Gem Mint 10 Adrian Peterson RC, which I recieved from a vendor by trade. I have since traded it away. Grading overall? I can live without it, and have chosen to. I have never heard of a marble grading company, or of anyone who would be considered a "professional" grader. I would stick with and prefer the experienced opinions of my peers here at MarbleConnection standing in as my unofficial "grader's". These folks are some of the best in the collecting business. IMHO, I think grading would have and does have it's upsides and downsides. And I'm sure that the opinions will vary on that. Great subject of discussion.... Myself, I also have very few mibs that would be considered "excellent" or "mint". I simply just enjoy them. Love the thrill of the chase when it comes to searching antique malls, etc. Would rather do that then buy online. Not saying I never would purchase online, I just prefer the old fashioned way ๐Ÿ˜Š
  16. I found what I think might, and I say might be a little German. You just can see some characteristics inside that have me leaning in that direction....what do you think?
  17. Indeed, you are going to have a blast! Those miniature billiards balls can go back a long way as far as age is concerned. I have a set that was used in men's parlors back in the very early 1900's. The marbles are going to be stellar, I'll share that opinion. But I would love to see the billiards balls when you get around to them. ๐Ÿ˜Š
