  1. Great idea bumblebee--next year give some of us older collectors a chance to contribute to this great idea--I surely would as most here would as well. Marble—On For sure!!
  2. @Nantucketdink May have an opinion on this one--just sayin-- Marble--On!!
  3. I agree-Nice one though!! Marble--On!!
  4. This is not a simple Rainbo imho. The glass is so clear that it is hard to believe that it is a Pelt—Very few bubbles hardly any defects—almost Pelt banana type clear glass—I hope to see the winner post it here. Marble—On!! (If this one one those newer MK's I will be crushed)
  5. Nice corkscrew!! Size alway matters--- Marble--On!!
  6. I have a few of these--they just knocked my socks off a few years back. I do not expect to find any better--but I still look-- Marble--On!!
  7. I was raised in a Dutch settlement here in Wisconsin. Many of the really older folks still speak it. The saying here was always “If you are not Dutch—you are not much”. Times have changed—what can I say—I am mostly a mutt--lol. (When I asked about my heritage my Pa would tell me that I was part cowboy—Hee--Haw!!!) Marble—On!!!----For sure!!
  8. Hello there to you DutchMarbles. Nice Veli's! Welcome to the Marbleconnection. Marble--On!!
  9. I echo Ric here and will add a bit. “Turkey Heads” are a part of many swirls and many companies that produced marbles will show them. They cannot be narrowed down to CAC although they did produce a bunch of them. In the world of marble making machinery, this type of swirl—The “Turkey Head” is bound to happen in any type of marble regardless of manufacture. As the glass drips out of the furnace and is cut off before it hits the rollers many things can happen—one of them of course can be a “turkey head” configuration in the final product. The “road and tunnel” is also a way to ID CAC marbles and imho—it is a better way to the final ID. Marble—On!!
  10. Ohhh--it does look like a pinch pontil--nice images! More opinons are needed. Marble--On!!
  11. Me too Ric--very nice!! Marble--On!!
  12. This is a WVS imho--no maker from me here either.( it may be a Jabo) Nice looker though-- More opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Marble--On!!
  13. Nice slag Fire--no maker from me-- More opinions are needed. Marble--On!!
  14. This one is just under 5/8”. Maybe I have been collecting too long and I get too excited by the weird and rare. This is a Vitro Conqueror with armor involved. I just love this stuff— Marble—On!!
  15. OK Fire--it looks like this one is a Pelt--good call PPP--not--lol. Marble--On!!
  16. Tricky for sure Fire. I think that it is a Vacor "Zebra". I worked these up on my image editor and the middle one appears to be red white and blue--a wvs of some sort imho. The left one does look like a Jabo to me. Sizes always matter wlmmc. Your images are a bit dark--you will get the hang of it I am sure. The middle one deserves some more attention imho Marble--On!! Marble--On!!
  17. Master Cat's Eyes can show up in any fashion--they are just all over the place. A cage style was not the intention( I can not really figure out the intention). Yes Ric, The quality was this--compete, compete, compete--with the asian influx of marbles that put a few USA marble companies out of business. Master Glass did what they could and sadly went under. These were some of the last from them and you could tell from the quality that they were struggling. This may be why I like them—you can still find a few bags here and there but the pickings are slim—I always like an under-dog. This is just my humble opinion. Marble—On!!
  18. Gropper was a company that marketed marbles (probably a few other toy type items as well). As far as I know, they never made any marbles. They purchased them from a variety of marble making companies and sold them under their own brand name. This is what we in the collecting community call "Jobbers". Cerise may have been a name that Gropper came up with to market them------ Gropper may be one of the original Jobbers of marbles—not too sure here. More opinions are needed for sure. Marble—On!!
  19. Very nice group Ric. These were considered as CAC for a long time--then the digs happened. My hat is off to all of the diggers that did this hobby justice where ID’s are concerned. You were there Ric—good job!!( the dirt under your finger nails may be collectable some day👍) Marble—On!!

    Flame?

    Nice marble--just not a flame. Marble--On!!
  21. I think that Cheese nailed this one--it is a nice marble!! Marble--On!! Yes--this is very common with green colors in all makes of marbles, old to new. Marble--On!!
  22. Many companies made yellow on white marbles. This one may be too common to determine a maker. It is not MFC or CAC imho. I will say this--it is a wvs with a very nice "turkey head". Nice marble-- Marble--On!!
  23. I think that Nantucketdink has narrowed this ID down very well. Marble--On!!
  24. This may be hard to imagine StevenJustSteven, --but yours has a transparent base glass--the white is dominate for sure in yours--but the base glass was intended to be transparent dominant. The unintended dominate white is what make this one so special. Slags vs swirls is always a good argument—but the slag gurus here have yours penned right. It is a slag—a very, very nice one—top shelf for sure. Slags never cross over to being blended or to becoming swirls--they are just slags some are better than others. Marble—On!!
