  1. OK Fire, The Chickens picked this one up and dropped it on you--just to confuse you. Chickens are pretty smart birds--they had their fun—now eat them🐣. It is a very cool marble and I would still sort it as an “Unknown”. This has been a fun one. In hand is always “The way”. Send it to someone for a final evaluation (not me-lol). Everyone here appreciates a gift. Great thread! Marble--On!!
  2. Agreed--hard call. The later Akros all looked veneered--just a deeper white base. I would lean towards Vitro rather than MK--Maybe a big anemic "All Red"? Marble--On!!
  3. The top right is a swirl for sure. Slags actually came this well filled. I question the bottom left one, the rest are probably swirls--no maker from me. Marble--On!!
  4. There is nothing special here Mellisa. They are nice marbles that may have been made by many companies. Each one may have come from a seperate place. Marbles like this have actually been the shakers in paint cans. I like them--red marbles rule. Marble--On!!
  5. The top left may be a Ravenswood. I say this because of the transparent glass in between the folds. The lower right is an Alley Agate. The lower left is probably a Champion. It just looks newer to me—the white looks to be “Opal”—very nice! The upper right hand one is a pretty nice marble—No comment beyond that. As always, when I put an ID on a WVS I need more input and will appreciate it all. Marble—On!!
  6. The top right and the bottom left are more than likely Alley Agate. The other two may have been made by a variety of makers. I appreciate all opinions and welcome them. Marble--On!!
  7. I agree! Marble--On!! I agree! Marble--on!! Sometimes things may go unexplained with marbles and the way that they were constructed. I worked on some antique machines making rivets in my younger days. The weather could affect the way that the machines performed. Adjust, adjust, adjust, then adjust some more. That is why we made the money. My first reaction to this marble--The OP-- was Vitro. Just a "gut thing". I want them all to be Akro--but what fun would that be? Ric and Cheese have the "gut thing" going--mine are just starting to rumble🤢. Marble--On!!
  8. Here is a very “minty” Vitro with a nice band of Oxblood. You just never know where the Ox will show up do you? I will just call it a “Conqueror” with oxblood. Very cool—@11/16”. Marble—On!!
  9. Very nice crashbelt. Is that a deck of cards? Patience #190? would love to see a closeup of some of them. Marble--On!!
  10. Not this one. I actually have a marble someplace that was attracted to a magnet. I am thinking that it was a slag with a shiny bit of debris in it. Ya just never know until you try it-- Marble--On!!
  11. Great idea Ric, Tator Lady does sound a bit "dowdy". I do not know if "Lady Tator" shouts "refined". I sure do like the name though. I am glad to hear that you had a part in this. There are many named marbles, this is the best name ever imho and by far one of the best Alley Agates that I have ever held. Thanks for all that you do/have done. Marble--On!!
  12. Akro made some pretty sparse looking marbles in the later years. Especially the bigger ones. I am comfortable with Akro here. Marble--On!!
  13. This one is a Vitro Fire--no doubt in my mind. All Red?? Marble--On!!
  14. Here is my best WVS--imho. In honor of @wvrons and all of the folks that were or will be digging in West Virginia, what a great passion along with endless, thoughtless sharing for sure. What a great service you have all supplied to the marble collecting community. I appreciate all of your efforts and the info that you have shared. I really dig the names that you “digger” folks come up with. This one just makes me wiggle a bit—I just love the name—the marble is not too shabby either. Lady Tator—really?? Who else but the “Kings/ Queens” of Diggers” could come up with this name? I love it—just love it. Thanks to you all!! WVS on!! Marble—On !!
  15. A.I. obviously does not get the size thing---yet. Those are some mighty big marbles those older dudes are sitting on. Cool stuff bumblebee! Is there a link to this stuff? Marble—On!!

    9/16 ?

Vitro sure made a bunch of different patterns over the years. I am stymied on what to call this one other than Vitro. Nice marble!! Marble--On!!
  17. You did well Jeff54 for only five boxes😁. There are some very nice ones there. Master Glass is often overlooked--you have to do a lot of picking but they are there to find. Made in the USA--- Nice stuff! Thanks for sharing these. Marble--On!!
  18. I agree. I did not even want to go to the Vacor website with this one. Nice call Chad! Nice marble Fire! Nice clear glass in this one! Marble--On!!
  19. Here is a fun one. If you do not backlight your marbles, well, get on with it. This one may be a Ravenswood @5/8"--or?? I appreciate all opinions. Backlight them all!!! Marble--On!!
  20. This is where I got Cairo stuck in my head--I put it there a few years back with this post. https://marbleconnection.com/topic/27729-cairo/#comment-240082 It is similar to the OP just not similar enough. I have not seen another like it. Ron straightened me out with this one. Marble--On!!
  21. Wow--the blue is intense on that one Chad--nice marble! I have a favorite Image of a blueblood, the blue is usually a bit darker and most of the time the ox is covered by it. Sometimes not. Marble--On!!
