The term "Amorphous glob" comes to mind on the third one. ( what a great term) The spelling may be incorrect. I have seen the description before—I believe that it was in Stephs Study Hall (maybe not) describing a Vitro. Maybe @Steph can help. Marble—On!!

I can agree with Alley here. Your images are close to the ones that I take outside. Trees overhead--reflecting, A gray picnic table? I need to get a reflector for outside shots--next on the list. Nice marble! Marble--On!!

I would sort it as a Vitro. That yellowish hunk is a bit weird. I have often wondered how many times birds may have polluted marbles. The grit that they eat has to end up somewhere. Marble--On!!

I agree with Ric. There are red muddies, blue muddies, and the original very nice Greenish-Blue Sapphire colored muddies,( yes I said Sapphire )and a straight up no color muddy, probably some others as well. I happen to love them all with this type of base glass--all of them. Here is a backlight image of the original--along with my favorite "Muddy" Image. I will accept it as a "Muddy" if it has this base glass. It is almost Opal--I am not quite sure though. I apreciate all opinions and welcome them. Marble--On!!

They are all Pelts Al, imho at least Two are more simple Rainbos, one is more complex imho--maybe a NLR. marble--On!! The name game with Pelts gets me confused as well. I cannot really say that "simple" or more common Rainbos make the mark as far as the "Red Bee" category goes, or the Red Dragon either with the top notch "Peltheads"(Hardcore Pelt collectors) There are plenty of "Rainbos" out there with names though. It was way easier when there were more NLR's around to find. Hardley anything was named in the "Rainbo" family then, it was NLR or bust. ( of course there was the "Miller Machine" argument as well"). I have had plenty of "Millers" pass through my hands and I still believe that they are a different marble, from a different process. When I started collecting, "Millers" were the hot item and NLR’s were just an afterthought. It was just as NLR and "Rainbos" are now. "Rainbos" are more commonly collected today because the supply of the others has melted down into collections. I would call yours "Red Bees". This is the older collectors that had an ample supply of the originals vs the newer collectors that do not. I for one will not stand in the way of the newer collectors. The "Golden Dragons" have a much brighter yellow and a more transparent red to them.(and then we get into the "Dragons"---enough said) Ramble On!! I appreciate all opinions--New collectors and old (not that old-) collectors as well. I just hope that some hard-nosed Peltheads chime in. Marble--On!!
