I would sort this one as a common WVS. No Akro here imho. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!

I actually found a "CAC Cobra" quite a few years back in a lot of Cats for sale on e-bay. I wish that I had an image. Oh well😄. It was out of my league and I sold it for a mear $550 at a show. I know, it was worth more--for sure. But $15 to $550 is a pretty good deal in any world. I still look--there are very Rare to find in the wild. They are still out there--just keep the search up! I just love a good clear glass for some reason--bubbles are double that factor. This one is 2"--maybe an orb but still pretty cool to look at and hold. I just love this stuff!. Marble--On!!

The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...

They do seem to be a hard find--these "Girl-scouts". I have a few that are not well covered that I found in a bag or two. I just love the Bumble Bees--these are getting pretty rare today--the older ones at least. Imho there are 200--300 Bumblebees--Maybe more, for each "Girlscout" found in my life. Luve -emm!! @Al Oregon is the one to ask here and I am sure that he will chime in. I do know that Vitro actually shipped equipment back and forth to Washington State. Why they moved back and forth--I do not know/remember. Vitro has always been the Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler of the marble collector’s world. Akro was the Chevrolet, Pelt was the Ford and CAC had the disadvantage of being too rare—maybe a Duisenberg. There are a lot of Ramblers/Nash out there, lol. I owned many of them and stiil do regarding marbles😁. Marble--On!!

Love -em! Marble--On!!

There are a few companies that made "Corals". I could care less who made them--I just love them. I am a coral freak for sure. Thanks for sharing this one. Nice marble!! Marble--On!!

Sometimes these Akro Slags bury the white. This one may have a stream of buried Oxblood—check it close—you never know. Nice ID on your part. Marble—On!!

Welcome Carrie Ann to "TheMarbleConnection". 200 marbles may seem over-whelming to you right now. I get it and I remember the same feelings--many years ago. Pick out the top ten in your opinion and post them. Nice crisp images well cropped. We will all guide you after that post. Marble--On!!

Wow, you scored! Nice marble! Great images as well. This may be a weak one but it sure as heck is very cool. Nice finish and surface on this one. You may be locked in now to this type--use both eyes and do not forget the other makers. Just some advice that I give because I have been there. This type--CAC is just rare to find. Good job!! You better get back to the books Yashuda😁. Marbles will not pay the bills-lol. Marble--On!!

Some of the very best cats ever made Yashuda--notice the nice clear glass--these were well cooked. ( well cooked meaning that they took the time to get this clear glass right to the top--it took some time in the furnace to achieve it) I just love a nice clear glass--the colors are nice too👍. These Pelt Rainbos can be all over the place as much as any Akro. Keep on the track and you will get the drift. This is just fun stuff--just amazing fun stuff that will take some time and most importantly--some stress out of life. When you hook on to marbles--all is in the background--for a while anyhow😁. Thanks for sharing this one. Marble--On!!

what kind of marble. is this A CHAULKEY??
akroorka replied to bee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Yes--Welcome for sure to "TheMarbleConnection" Bee. You seem to be convinced on finding this one deep during a dig. I would like to see some more images of it. Chaulkies are generally considered to be a marble that was underground for some time and had a reaction with the earth that caused an appearance that involved a raised appearance of chalk. They are very cool to find and see--I have never held one. I am not sure that any of these ever made it to the general sales but I doubt it highley. I like your marble--just not enough here to call one way or another. It does look like a clay from what you have posted so far. Regardless--a nice find and marble--just show some more of it.
