Nice marbles! The little flecks that you call “Lutz” are actually un-dissolved bits of minerals that were used in the recipe mix. We, as collectors will call this “Aventurine” commonly. The green colors of all makers have this more commonly than any other color. Lutz is associated with old “German” Handmade marbles for the most part. Contemporary handmade marbles may include some “Lutz” as well. Marble—On!!

I agree with all that has been said and will throw in the possibility of it being a “Master Glass Cat’s Eye”. Marble—On!!

I have a few dozen Akro Agate Corkscrews
akroorka replied to The Nickel Guy's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Share all that you desire--no one gets bored looking at marbles here. "Popeyes" all have a clear transparent base glass. Some may argue that there is a nifty looking one with UV reactive yellow base glass(very cool)! Your last image may have a "Popeye" near the bottom--blue and yellow. Marble--On!! Here are a few of my favorite white base corkscrews. This olive drab color commonly shows flecks of AV. Marble--On!! -

Peltier Baseball Rainbos ~ Tell me I got this one right.

The middle blue one just might be a MK inho. Marble--On!! -
Vitro it is--"Tri-light"? Marble--On!!

LOL--I did get a slap shot to the head----six stitches—a long time ago—it was intended and I gave it back for sure in spades while still bleeding. I would call this one a very nice “Peewee” NLR. Marble—On!!

No need here Fire--this one is an Akro Cork of some design or configuration---just my opinion---- Marble—On!!

Time to sell is a hard thing--time to collect is a world away from right away—Patience is the key to collecting—nuff said for sure. I would feel very easy calling all of these “Vitro Agate” marbles. Marble—On!!

This one is a beauty--no doubt--nice find!! Nice clear base glass---small bubbles involved----very nice colors-----a bigger marble. This one may have been made in Washington (the state) by Vitro. @Melissa knows her Vacor and her Vitro—let’s ask for some help here from her. Marble—On!!

Sell them for sure- and expect a good price. Size always matters with marbles. I love it-- a seller that admits it straight up. “Calligraphy” may be a stretch here imho. I would call them “Killer Flames”—maybe a cross. If I were selling them—I would let “Block” do it. They are both Alley imho. 30 years ago these would have sold as CAC—thanks to the diggers—we know better and what better digger to ask for advice than @cheese. Marble—On!!

Almost a "Jinx" Chad. Good to hear your opinions---Rock on! Marble--On!!

I am referring to image one. My eye went straight to the “Coral”—second row—five in from the left. I love a Coral colored marble for sure. The eye went to the next----orange with black swirls. It looks “Peltish” but I believe that it is a Vacor “Bengal Tiger”, nice marble—just not a Pelt. The Black and white one in the middle is a “Patch”. The second row—two from the left is a “Patch” as well. I am thinking Vacor but I cannot nail it. The lower right one is a Jabo “Classic” and it has a twin in the bunch. There may be a few mor Jabo included but the rest are WVS imho. Marble—On!!

I think that you may have an Akro patch here—nice one. The seams tell the tale for me. Generally, with MK marbles the seam shows a bit of white due to the “brushed” type of marble that they made. The inside is white and the outside carries the colors—cheaper to make for sure—just not as deep as an Akro Agate that is from the older times. It may be an “Older” MK—but my opinion is what I have to offer here. Nice marble! Great images! Marble—On!!
