  1. Welcome Carrie Ann to "TheMarbleConnection". 200 marbles may seem over-whelming to you right now. I get it and I remember the same feelings--many years ago. Pick out the top ten in your opinion and post them. Nice crisp images well cropped. We will all guide you after that post. Marble--On!!
  2. Wow, you scored! Nice marble! Great images as well. This may be a weak one but it sure as heck is very cool. Nice finish and surface on this one. You may be locked in now to this type--use both eyes and do not forget the other makers. Just some advice that I give because I have been there. This type--CAC is just rare to find. Good job!! Marble--On!!
  3. Nice images--Nice marble! Thanks for sharing it. Marble--On!!
  4. You better get back to the books Yashuda😁. Marbles will not pay the bills-lol. Marble--On!!
  5. Some of the very best cats ever made Yashuda--notice the nice clear glass--these were well cooked. ( well cooked meaning that they took the time to get this clear glass right to the top--it took some time in the furnace to achieve it) I just love a nice clear glass--the colors are nice too👍. Marble--On!!
  6. These Pelt Rainbos can be all over the place as much as any Akro. Keep on the track and you will get the drift. This is just fun stuff--just amazing fun stuff that will take some time and most importantly--some stress out of life. When you hook on to marbles--all is in the background--for a while anyhow😁. Thanks for sharing this one. Marble--On!!
  7. Welcome Alta, Show us what you have--I am sure that we will all enjoy what you have to offer. Marble--On!!
  8. I like Akros but when you can find a CAC like one this cheap in a lot---Marble--On!!
  9. Yes--Welcome for sure to "TheMarbleConnection" Bee. You seem to be convinced on finding this one deep during a dig. I would like to see some more images of it. Chaulkies are generally considered to be a marble that was underground for some time and had a reaction with the earth that caused an appearance that involved a raised appearance of chalk. They are very cool to find and see--I have never held one. I am not sure that any of these ever made it to the general sales but I doubt it highley. I like your marble--just not enough here to call one way or another. It does look like a clay from what you have posted so far. Regardless--a nice find and marble--just show some more of it. Marble--On!!
  10. Hmm--- @Fire1981 may have an opinion here. Marble--On!!

  15. At first I tought that this one was an AI image--really I did--👍 Pelt did not cross the line at 1".(well maybe a hair over) This one is just a killer and I mean it "KILLER"--Vacor. These big ones do not show up very great on average. I would put this one on the top shelf. The white waves are ridiculous here. Thanks for sharing it! I just love it--nice images as well. Marble--On!!
  16. I like the rust spots here and how you show it as found. ( it can be cleaned very easily) This one sat at the bottom of a coffee can for awhile. I do not recognize this color combo however. Nice bright white—maybe a “batch glass white” A wvs imho. Nice images—Nice find! Marble—On!!
  17. Yep, the Japenese hand mades have been shown here latley. Lets ask @YasudaCollector for an opinioin here. Marble--On!!

  24. Well, if it is an Atmosphere--and I agree here--it is a nice example of of how weak the colors may be. Nice find! Marble--On!!
  25. My wife and I collected "slag glass" and McCoy pottery together for many years. Auctions, flea markets, estate sales, yard sales--etc etc. Then one day at an antique mall in Oshkosh WI we found this book by the Hardy’s--What? They made marbles too?? This pushed the limit for me--then I found a book by Everit Grist--off we went. Of course we had friends that collected other things that thought that we were "nuts" about collecting marbles. I had a friend "gift me" a coffee can full of marbles from her ex. I dumped them out and said---oh no--These are too valuable for a gift. About $7,500 later she knew. This was about 30 years ago and they still hold their value. About forty books later--here I am. Then the internet changed it all. I still have the marbles that my mom gave me from her dad--one was beat up like Chads Akro slag ( nice one by the way)--mine was a Oxblood Eggyolk--just a killer old used up marble. Grandpa played marbles---no doubt. Marble--On!!
