  1. This one may need a separate post Dave. There could be some great discussion there. Marble--On!!
  2. I agree Ric--the times that you state are probably right on. This is right around the time that we all gained a new respect for "Native Americans. Marble--On!!

    Equator

    I agree--nice finds! Marble--On!!
  4. Yes Cato, Foreign--probably from a lot of Imperials. Nice marbles--Nice images! Marble--On!!
  5. I remember the "King Bisquit Flour Hour" out of Little Rock--we could only get it after dark. Rock--On!!
  6. Hand-gathered---- Machine rounded is what you should ask next time stephenb. We all appreciate what you do--never get that wrong but at some point, you will be challenged again. This is the way of marble collecting. I am challenged all of the time—water off a ducks back (I am not an expert—but I am kinda good😁--I think at least). Once again, this is how we all learn. This post is not designed/desired as any form of attack on you personally. Sometimes the Horses around the marble collecting community just refuse to drink and sometimes we all need cleaner water. This is a passion for many and I am glad to see that the passion has not gotton out of hand here. Let’s just Marble—On!!
  7. You do good work--I would take a second or third look at the bottom two for sure. Marble--On!!
  8. Well Ric, I look at a lot of poutch's and the Master Pouch type stick out for sure--just because they are named. I have a collection of around 100 poutches and the one that I refer to is my only one--a lucky find today--the third one I looked at. I could not tell you how many times I have passed on this one but the Native American linked pouch is a very common find and I pass on most of them. I probably got this one in a lot of marbles--just a bonus. I cleaned it for you Ric--it is still a tad damp though. Surprisingly it had an inner liner ( at first I thought that it was old tobacco---yukkk) it just fell apart, the inner liner--it was rotton for sure. The outer poutch is deerskin---in good shape--the inner would only be a guess--maybe pigskin but it was black and maybe the black dye was it's misfortion and it was Deer Hide. The first image is as found--the second is cleaned but damp. An inner liner is not a thing that I have seen before--two seperate layers of leather--pretty cool. I also listed what I clean these with and what I condition them with after the leather dries out ( it gets quite stiff). I would not attempt this unless you are willing to fail. Marble--On!!
  9. LOL Chad, I have no problem with Stephen Bahrs videos--I just think that something may have been lost in the translation here. The "Was Cut By Rollers" statement is just wrong of course. He was talking with the bosses--not the makers. If you have ever measured any of the smaller Atmos and compared them--they would have been the very worst machine made marbles ever. The sizes just never line up with each other-they vary by 1/8" or more. Eat some more popcorn Chad--(I love it!) This may take some time--- Marble--On!!
  10. Well Ric, I started to look through my pouches and I found this one, the third one that I looked at😁 amazingly. It is dirty and beat up but the graphics are better. My scanner software is not working today--another upgrade is needed🤢. I would love to give an image--but not today. The image is true, and Harry touched it up a bit/ the top feather and the words below (which were more in a curved design originally). The softness is probably because of deer-skin instead of cowhide--the one that I have is also very soft and supple. Imho this was not associated with any marble makers. Just sold as-is--a marble poutch, a one of many-maybe from "Wall Drug" which would be special for any kid at the time. The brass dangles at the end of the strings make it an older one for sure. The one that I have just has shoe-strings. Thanks for the image and the story. This is my best-- Marble--On!!
  11. Every day that you post helps someone out there--me included. Marble--On!!
  12. Love it--it is more than likely an Akro Corkscrew. Nice find! Marble--On!!
  13. Alox X2--great images! Marble--On!!
  14. The first one is a Vitro "Conqueror". Most of these show up with a clear transparent color involved--yours is green transparent--pretty cool. The next two are what I would call WVS or west virginia swirls. The last two are more than likely from the beach--suficide😁---cool word! Marble--On!!

    Equator

I am old to marble collecting and old also--Stilll need help though😁. Welcome to "TheMarbleConnection". "Equator" is not a term that I am familiar with regarding collecting marbles. The only Marbles that seem to have an Equator are "double ingots" which are actually two marbles married. I will show two below. One is a double ingot Akro corkscrew--two in one. The next is an Akro Flintie---two in one also. Marble--On!!
  16. I agree with Melissa here. If you search "AliBaba" you may find a name for them--or not. I believe that they are Chinese/Asian made. Nice group! Marble--On!!
  17. Do not worry about filling the box with the missing ones. This box is top notch as it stands. Thanks for sharing it. Great find!! Marble--On!!
  18. Not all true here----- There were marbles marketed as marbles called "steelies" that were in fact ball bearings. I get these steelies all of the time in mixed lots that I purchase. They go to the recycle bin post haste😁. @Al Oregon more than likely has a few bags of these to share with us. Marble--On!!
  19. I still agree with Al here. This one is from a box of Imperials--the marbles were made by many different companies from many different countries--non from the USA. I have attempted to turn a Jabo into an Akro Corkscrew a few times--I ended up wrong and educated as well. There are no bad questions here at "TheMarbleConnection" All opinions are appreciated on this one. Marble--On!!
  20. Dancing Cobras? Who cares who made it? This one rocks! Marble--On!!
  21. Hey Fire, I think that you have a very well filled Vacor "Streamer" here----regardless of the size. Sorry Bro--no CAC here imho. Stiil, a very nice marble that took up some time and effort. All opinions other than mine are welcomed for sure. Marble--On!!
  22. That is a very cool box! I could not load your thumbs on my PC though. Welcome to "TheMarbleConnection" Vermonter! Marble--On!!
  23. Pretty weird really, Glasfirma is a conglomerate which includes Vacor--last I checked anyhow. So we are getting less for more--like potato chips. They use the same sized bag and put a few less inside. ( I know this because my wife is a chip freak--shes calls them ( God's food). Marble--On!!
  24. I agree with Hmmmm? Different runs and different dates of runs may explain your hard work here. I appreciate your passion and the work/investigation that you have done. I have no doubt that Vacor would make custom sizes for the folks/companies that requested it. I always appreciate comments other than mine and respect them all. Marble--On!!
  25. OK then--my bad not yours---Master. Marble--On!!
