3/4" narrows it down a bit--no CAC imho. Marble--On!!

Jabo--Classic. Marble--On!!

Pretty cool marble--not an Akro! Marble--On!!

Never forget that "Imperial" just sold marbles they never made them. Vacor was once a supplier for this"jobber" company. A "Jobber" is one who buys and sells--not a manufacturer--just a company that buys at a lower rate in volume and sells at a higher one to the public. Marble--On!!

WVS imho--no maker from me. Nice marble!! Marble--On!!

I agree--they look like Master Made Marbles. They may be English/ European madeâthe deep red throws me off a bit for Master. Lets ask @Mojo for an opinion here---- Marble--On!!

Hmmm---this one crosses some lines between a Swirl and a Patch. I think that tis may be a Vitro "Patch type"-an older marble. Nice white!! Marble--On!!

No difference imho. Just the two more likely to show them. Akro and Master Made Marbles made some of the finest marbles ever--they were in competition for the roundest marbles with the fewest flaws. Just try to âfeelâ the imperfections that the eye can seeâthe âlashesâ. They wanted them to be as round as round could be just hard/soft enough to take hits from a stone Agateâvery few glass marbles could stand up to an Agate for very long in any competition. ( Steelieâs yesâmostly ball bearings from the local area shop that used ball bearings---cheating imho although some were marketed as marbles) Just my opinion but Master Made Marbles stood up better than Akro marbles. They took quite a beating for a glass marble vs stone/agate. "Shoot Straight as a Crow" meant as straight as a Crow flies. Both of these companies were in direct competition with the original Stone Agates which for the most part at that time were all hand groundâbut very round and true. The price of glass marbles eventually pushed the agates out of any competitionâeven though they were better. Most âAgatesâ came from Germanyâmany came from California. ( The term âAgateâ was applied to most glass marbles of one design/manufacture or another as a result) I did a short 10 minute search on the interweb and found no images of the folks that used to make these stone Agate marbles. (pretty intense) The old books still have quite an edge here on the interweb. I am far from an expert regarding âHand Ground Stone Agatesâ. I do know that @bumblebeeis into them--@Fire --your postâlol and perhaps @akronmarbles. I am just rambling on nowâ If you have no Agates in your collection--get some! Lets see what others have to say. I just love this stuff! Here is an image of a bruiser Agate backlight--3/4". Those are all hit marks (moons) from play. MartbleâOn!!
