I am not too sure what you are asking here--the reaction to the folks that worked with this stuff was less than mild--deadly I would say. That was the way---- Marble--On!!

It looks fine to me--great collection-hard finds and well purchased. Marble--On!!

That is quite a collection my marble collecting friend. I am glad that I was able to blow up the image on my PC—very nice! Marble—On!!

X2--what Steph says is right on imho. Marble--On!!

Thanks for the share--nice marbles no doubt! I just love this stuff! Marble--On!!

I agree with the "Octupus" ID--a weak one though. The second one looks like a common WVS--nice marble--no great value but nice non-the-less. Marble--On!!

Thanks for stepping up Nantucketdink! Great ID!!! Marble---On!!

The top image far left is a Swirl--WVS. The one to the right of it appears to have some "opal" involved--just backlight it and look for an orangish glow--WVS imho. White slag’s are not too common imho--even from Akro--the bottom image from the left----I would call the second and third slag’s the rest are WVS imho. I do not see any Pelts here. Marble—On!!

I have a few that show UV reaction on the white--not too common imho. Marble--On!!

Here are those red slags you asked for more pictures of Fire1981

Minnesota and Wisconsin Shows in September!!
akroorka replied to Melissa's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Thanks Melissa, If you go to the Wisconsin show wear an (“I like "Atmospheres”) sticker on your forehead-lol. I may be there---or not. Marble—On!! -
Well, I do not blame you for the addiction. These are both top notch marbles and I am sure that you have been looking for some like these ever since. I generally will go for the Red, White and Blue but that left hand one is too hard to pass on--- just a killer combo of colors and flash! Thanks for sharing the images---very nice! Hard to imagine topping these two but you will if you continue to--- Marble—On!!

Me too I just love this type. The colors blast out at you and yet they do not look too refined--just a simple production marble like most of the rest that we all enjoy. I just love this stuff! Marble--On!!

No smaller for sure Steph--I can be no surer than 100% dealing with you my marble collecting friend. I have been researching these since they were cheap, I have always loved them. I am usually 30-90% with my ID’s and 100% never happens in this league or this forum—I am there 100% with the Atmosphere’s size wise. Marble—On!!

Been there--done that. Nice job and a great question about what was inside. Marble and Canning Jars on!!

Welcome Greg to the "MarbleConnection". Pick out the ones that look "pretty to you" and post three or four at a time giving us a good look at all sides. I am looking forward to seeing what you have and we will all do our best here to give you an evaluation. Marble--On!!

Except for the larger, “Special Order” Atmospheres—the more common ones that were sold by “ToysRus” in nets of three are 1”—plus or minus a bunch. They came no smaller than this. This one is a hard one to ID. Nice marble for sure! Marble—On!!

I like to see some "junk stuff" from a junk store--you never know do you? They are not valuable at all--sorry for the info but honesty prevails here at "TheMarbleConnection". The ID of marbles has most "Antinque Shops" or "Junk Shops" spinning. Most of them employ a "Marble expert" for advice. Regardless of the advice these shops/sellers will put them in jars and hope for the best because the size of the jar takes up little room. Alway post an image before you buy if you are interested. Marble--On!!

These are always a hard ID. The top image does show a glass marble on the left--stiil--little value. Thanks for sharing them! Marble--On!!
-
They are very "pretty” marbles, I agree but like you said—they made millions of these. This one is a common variety. Marble—On!!
-
Little value because of the damage. It is a nice find for a collector of these---just a place keeper imho. 1 dollar—maybe. I do not mean to be harsh—just honest. Marble—On!!

Thank goodness for Elizabeth Kempski's book

I agree with all that has been said here. She is just a great marble person! Marble--On!! -
Your opinion matters a great deal as all opinions here do. It is just a matter of averaging them out and coming to the very best conclusion that we here at "TheMarbleConnection" can give. Never think that your opinion does not count--never. I look forward to more of your opinions and welcome them all. Marble--On!!

Amber, Clear then Green based marbles are my experience with this type of “Germans”. I would call this one red rather than orange based on the images. I have never held one or seen one in person but I think that the ID is right on. As far as UV reaction goes—I am not too sure about these types—nuff said. Nice size, nice condition—just not CAC imho. A very nice find! Nice marble, thanks’ for sharing it. Marble—On!!
