  1. I have had marbles sold without my consent--by my wife during a rummage sale. I told her one jar at a time--they sold so quick that she took it it to herself to fill a few more jars---well too many--- from my stock in the basement---bad juju for sure--she picked the wrong bucket for sure---well, we are still pals and married. I will never see them again--nuff said. Sorry for your loss--really I am, it still hurts a bit---oh well it is always something! Marble--On!!
  2. Hello--hello---hello, is there anybody in there?--I ask this to myself all of the time. I am listening now--great song! 😁--Marble--On!!
  3. You may be but there are younger that log in here. That is why we keep it clean here @TheMarbleConnection. Check out Pink Floyd and the lyrics--I may convert you to some older music. Marble--On!!
  4. I would be proud to keep this one with my Akro collection--very nice! Marble--On!!
  5. Cool video--I like the sound. Jabo Classics are a much later version of what have become "Vintage" marbles. The value is limited to the design and coverage. Yours are basic imho. I agree with Chad G here. Marble--On!!
  6. imho this one is a Jabo---"Classic". Lets ask @Nantucketdink for an opinion here. Nice find--great colors!! Marble--On!!
  7. Join the club my marble collecting friend---we have all been there and done that and I am sure that every collector here can remember their worst mistake. There are few stupid mistakes made when collecting anything unless you bet the house🤢. Just learning experiences😁. We all can convince ourselves of one thing or another when it comes down to a good deal. It is a very cool and beautifull marble--Probably a VItro.(Pelt would be a second choice here imho) Back up, learn from it and of course--- Marble--On!!
  8. Yes, the possibilty of these all being Jabo--"Classics" is pretty high. Marble--On!!
  9. Red is a hard find--for sure. Vaseline?? Not in my realm at least. Marble--On!!
  10. This one is a WVS nice marble imho. No clue as to the maker. Marble--On!!
  11. Nice color--nice size---- Ravenswood? I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more here. Marble--On!!
  12. Yep! I am one of them Fire.. Size always matters in marbles ID. It is not an easy thing to ID marbles from images sometimes--this is one of those hard ones. --It is a Vacor Octupus imho. Vacor made quite a few runs of these--heck, they still might be making them. To ID any Vacor from one set of images is fruitless--they changed and changed again. The second image here does no good for the ID. Get it in the sunlight and give us a few more Please. Marble--On!!
  13. Welcome Lostmarbles, to TheMarbleConnection. Your images are a bit fuzzy but I think that you have a Vitro "Conqueror" here. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!
  14. I agree---Nice slag! Marble--On!!
  15. Akro sounds right on to me--great marble---nice slag!! Marble--On!!
  16. Vacor "Octopus" imho. This one just lines up as a Vacor with all of the classics traits--"orange peel, "folds" and so-on. This is a pretty nice big one that seems to be well involved with the colors. Marble--On!!
  17. Pelt Rainbo imho---- Marble--On!!
  18. This one is a WVS imho😁. Marble--On!!
  19. I am sure that we all have our faves that you show here—this is quite a collection of about 120 years or so in difference in age. Image two gets me going—I would love to see some more images. Image #24 also needs a better look imho. Marble--On!!
  20. Hmm, I am a little surprised that no one mentioned "Liberty" here. I will--weak but cool! Marble--On!!
  21. Cool stuff Fire--Thanks for sharing it! Marble--On!!
  22. Welcome "not a guy". There are probably more "not guys" collecting marbles today than guys. I would venture to say that most of yours are close to or over 100 years old. You have a great collection there already. I would frame this bunch in memory of folks past. Marble--On!!

    A few more

The hand made is pretty cool--I had to take a step back when I saw this one. I agree with Fire here-new--not vintage. A vintage handmade lutz in these colors is pretty rare. The other is just a common chinese made marble imho. Marble--On!!
  24. I agree nice eye Fire--What is that crud? A little Laquer thiner will clean it up with out damage to the glass. It could be some some of that stickey stuff used to hold an object down during an earthquake. I have found a few "Filled" marbles in my lifetime. There is a liquid substance that fills glass and makes it look hole--I think that yours is a harmless hold down substance-- Very nice "Brick!! along with the rest of them--the first one puzzles me a bit. This one along with the rest are hand made imho. @Chad G. may have some insight here. Marble--On!!
