  1. I am just judging by the blue light from the penlight and I will admit that I may be wrong here. Still, it is a nice Pelt marble and when you look back at the previous images it all of a sudden looks green instead of black—my bad. Marble—On!!
  2. OK Lumbo, If you post any marbles under UV light---remember to say so. The more natural light is of course sunlight. White light is the best if it is too cloudy. The masses will not realize as much as the more experienced will. Ron called it on a previous post of game marbles by Dano3---great job Ron. This is a group of folks that will go from 40-50 years experience to under one month. You have to cut all of us a break in your images and tell us the lighting that you used. Your last images appear to have a UV influence to me.--Great images by the way. I will still call it a Peltier and the light that you show has some UV influence IMHO. Do not get me wrong, Pelt made marbles like this with a greenish base like you show. Nice find regardless. Try to get another penlight, yours is giving the wrong impression imho. Marble—On!!
  3. Nice find, I would sort it as a Pelt Zebra--more images needed for sure. Crop them and get up close with good light--maybe some AV in this one. Marble--On!!

    Need ID

Hmmm, almost an Alley Superman? Marble--On!!
  5. Laugh Out Loud--this one deserves the words. Join the club, as a man, this has always been a reality--it does not get better--as a man at least. If you do not know Steph, I doubt that anyone does. This is just an opinion; I believe that Akro coffin boxes were a production and maybe a bonus at marble competitions. They may have been “saved” in any arena, but marble competitors did save a lot of what they were proud of, right to the end. This used to be big stuff—the competitions. It still is but just not the same. Here is a pouch that I have in my collection. Why was it kept so long---well, you know, special to someone and special to me as well. Marble—On!!
  6. A lot of game marbles have the glow to them. I have even found a few "Flinties" in game boxes (no Moonies--yet😁). Backlight them all and while you are at it, hit them with some UV too!! Marble--On!!
  7. Some folks collect numbers in marbles and some try to get the whole alphabet, you have a nice start there. It could even be a Q. Marble--On!!

    Nice find Dano. Marble--On!!
  9. When you backlight a "Moonie" it will open up and not look so opaque as it does in hand. It will also shine through as a red-ish orange tint. Moonies are made with opalecent glass. The fish eye effect is noticeable when backlit as an out of focus depth to the marble--like a fishes eye. Fish eyes are also referred to as a slit or opening in the area of the cutoff, often on both sides of the marble, these can be seen in hand in natural light. Marble—On!!
  10. I will jump on the "Whitie" train with William--good eye. It has been awhile since a Vitro Whitie was ID'd here. Marble--On!!
  11. I will take a shot at these. The purple one is a WVS of some sort. The blue and white is interesting and my instincts tell me that it is foreign. The green one screams Jabo to me. More opinions are needed and welcomed. Marble—On!!
  12. I think that you may have a Vacor "Iguana" there. Nice marble! Marble--On!!

    Akro ?

Hey Mojo, The light will have to go through the middle of the marble while you are looking down towards the light coming through the marble to see the fisheye effect that Flinties have. A small intense penlight will do the trick and you will have to roll the marble around on top of the light to get the full exterior looked at and through. It may just be a solid opaque marble---backlight them all to find out😁. Marble--On!!
  14. I can make out the seams pretty well--nice images! I think that Akro is a good call on this one. More opinions are always appreciated. Marble--On!!

    Akro ?

Size matters. The red one reminds me of a red "Flintie". Blast it with some small intense backlight and see if a fisheye will appear someplace in it. Marble--On!!
  16. This one reminds me of a Peltier "Sunset". More opinions are welcomed and needed. Marble--On!!

    Moonie

Hmm I am struggling with your calipers. I see 19mm or about 3/4". A Moonie or a white Flintie imho. More opinions are always welcomed--especially with my metric measurements. Marble--On!!
  18. Master or Imperial X2 with a lean towards Master just because Gladys comes up with some nice Masters. More opinions are always welcomed. Marble--On!!
  19. They are cool to find but value is in the eye so to speak. Here is a link just for kicks--ya never know do ya? https://www.ebay.com/itm/234607462112?hash=item369fb1c6e0%3Ag%3AjvgAAOSwnSNivgX6&nma=true&si=BEshrPu3hptkBTbVk36lPD%2BvyXU%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Marble--On!!
  20. Hello Gladys, These Oxblood patches have always caught my eye. I always had a hard time deciding whether they were Vitro or Akro until I took them to a show and everyone that I showed them to said Akro with a great deal of confidence. This type of patch has a whispy white interior which just could be opalescent. It is hard to really tell with the oxblood involved while backlighting—just instincts. I have only seen this type with green and with yellow included. Marble—On!!!
  21. Hello Dano, It is rare enough for me because I have never seen anything like it. What is the size? I am really into that marble stand too! Nice marble!! Marble--On!!
  22. Hello Mojo, The first one does look like an Akro Patch gone a bit wild, not a corkscrew imho. I do not think that it is a Master Marble. Nice marble! The second one does look like it has some Oxblood; I had to really study this one on my image editor. It does look like it could be an Akro. This is also a nice marble. Akro Pee-wees are a rare bird for sure but I cannot call this one with a positive ID. I will lean towards an Akro Agate though---nice find whatever it may be. More opinions are needed and always appreciated. Marble—On!!
  23. Here are a few very nice bullet mold marbles that just boggle my mind. Almost perfectly half and half with very nice clear glass, they are very round with no imperfections. They are just under 5/8”. How are these made?? I cannot wrap my mind around this! Thanks for any and all opinions. Marble—On!!
  24. Hello Gladys, The question is, why do I keep beat up Master Made Marbles---well this occasion spells it. Here is the cousin to your marble. It is a Master Made as is yours. It is 11/16” and more than capable of taking damage and surviving. That is another great Master Made Marble that you posted—really nice! Marble--On
