  1. Great Info Da Roberto, This is the stuff that I will not forget. Marble--On!!
  2. Relax folks. You are two collectors on the opposite end of the spectrum. I appreciate both of you to no end. Continue to post and be civil about it. I love to see all marbles regardless of the value or condition. Lets just all “marble on” and appreciate each other for what we may or may not be. I want to continue to see all that each of you has to share. Really I do. Peace.
  3. Nice images Jeremy. I think this one is asian--"Imperial" Marble--On!!
  4. I love the Akro red Slags. A nice one to be sure. Marble--On!!
  5. I would lean towards a WVS on this one. Marble--On!!
  6. The big bloodies are more translucent than the smaller varieties. The smaller ones are more on the opaque side of the ledger. I think this is a smaller rainbo. Here is a link to a big one on ebay along with an image that I found somewhere showing a nice box full. https://www.ebay.com/itm/143363929116?hash=item216127f41c:g:gn8AAOSwrdRdYWxe Marble—On!!
  7. It is an odd one fire, very nice. I like odd. I have no problem calling this one a Peltier. It reminds me a little of the Rebel/Liberty combination found under this link. https://www.peltiermarbles.info/rare Marble--On!!
  8. Looks like a good place to hunt mushrooms, you may find a bonus.
  9. I always got a kick out of "experimental"Lipstick on a pig for sure.
  10. I was picking through some pelts today and wondered what a corkscrew was doing in that bunch, and then I found another. Not corkscrews---rainbos, the color looked convincing though. Marble—On!!
  11. Do not be reluctant posting here Bruce, You will get an honest evaluation of what you post. The CAC that you show is one of the best color combos on earth imho. The other one is a great marble as well, just not a CAC. Marble--On!!
  12. Ackcat, You may have misinterpreted what I ask. All marbles, no matter the make or model have two cut-off points. I would just like to see the other end, or the opposite cutoff mark. Marble on my friend!!
  13. A very hardy welcome to you AckCat! This may be an older transitional marble. Post the size of it and what you may consider to be an opposite cut-off mark. The first image shows what I think may be the opposite of the pontil that you describe. Marble on my marble collecting friend!!
  14. This is a Peltier MCR or “multi colored rainbo”. I stand corrected from this previous post regarding a very similar marble. Marble—On!! https://marbleconnection.com/topic/28508-67-a-peltier/#comment-247818
  15. Sad news for sure, Lets all marble--on in her memory. RIP pistol packer.😌
  16. Lets just settle this one regarding the light blue one in the original post of this thread. Here is a link to the Parrot. It is obviously a mistaken image in the original post here, or one that was not intended to be there. It is OK Jeremysvt, we have all made errors in posting images, I do all of the time. Continue to post and take your time, we all make mistakes—at least usually. Marble—On and breath deeply. https://marbleconnection.com/topic/28466-this-is-93-thanks/#comment-247570
  17. It is a Peltier “Multi colored swirl” or MCS on a nice clear base. Nice marble!! Marble—On!!
  18. I would call this one a Vacor lacking in something but gaining in something else. Cotton candy it may be. I have said it before and I will continue to think, that these marbles are the collectable of the not too distant future. ( I am loading up) There are many Jabos and Vacors including the Jabo contracts and others that just suck. There are many being made today that will not meet the mark—name them, DAS etc. I am missing one for sure—remind me. Many of these will be appreciated in the years ahead as Stellar. Do the research, collect what you like and be rewarded. I am always fussy on newer marbles-do the same. Condition is and always will be a factor. Look for the fully loaded ones. I would not be surprised to find in 20 years or so that the orange peel is a desirable thing to have. Who can really say? Early collectors of marbles had little respect for “machine-made’s” Many called them non –collectable or common. Wake up collectors and move on! We have to love them all and really expand our horizons or get lost in the shuffle. I will not get lost—Cat-eyes on!! And of course, Marble—On!!!
  19. Well, a simple answer, they are not that easy to find nationwide. They made some great color combos (too many to count) and they come in multiple sizes. They also are known for defects, so a mint, no defect marble is primo. There may be some commons, but really not that common, not any more at least. They are an early manufacturer from a place not in WV or Ohio. Collectors are all in on something else-rebels so to speak--rebels collect Pelts, rebels against the norm and I love it. Marble on Illinois!! Swirls with multiple colors are Kings in the world of machine made marbles. The Peltiers rival those of Akro Agate-almost LOL. Marble On!!
  20. Hmmm, It could be a Champion, my WVS ID's do suck though(they really suck). A pretty common vintage color combo attributed to many companies. A nice marble, who passes one of these when sorting--not me! Marble--On!!
  21. Serpents imho Mojo. Vacor did a lot of runs in this style. Some of them fooled pelt collectors for a bit(superman). They may be making another run as we speak, they are a popular thing. Marble--On!!
  22. This one is a Jabo. Nice and wet and a little funky too. Nice one. Marble--On!!
  23. Yes Fire, a nice big Akro patch. These were seen in some of the later gift boxes, the ones with the kids on the cover. I have seen the spot that you mention on others of all colors. I really do not know the cause of it but I always thought that it may be an annealing/cooling thing. Marble--On!!
  24. I collect miniatures too—I love these little Swarovski critters that look life like. This frog is wondering just how hungry he may be, I know what I would do. The marble is 1” and very nice to hold and look at. Marble—On!!
