Definitely a marble on my wish list and I'll heed the warning @Ric if I ever think I've spotted one.
-
After a quick initial inspection, the ones in the bowl have highly visible AV, there are small amounts on some of the others and the condition of most of them is pretty good. Overall very happy with these, cost me about £15 including postage (no idea how this compares) and has brightened up my day, quite literally. Will attempt to capture some shots of the best ones, but it may take a bit of practice.

Thanks, apart from 2, these are just ones I've ended up with from mixed ebay lots. I tried sorting them into similar groups according to size/amount of colours/seam present the other day but I couldn't make a lot of sense of them, so put them all back together for now.

This is my current collection, about to be boosted by today's post (when it arrives), will update this post later if I've scored some good ones...

I had to work a little get them. Original listing had ended, so I looked at relisted item, saw the price had been reduced but that one had also ended, so I emailed seller and said I'd like to buy, they put them up, I bid then they ended it with me as winner. Don't really know what condition they will be in but it looks like there will be some nice ones. Sorry @davesnothere for hijacking your thread!

This thread prompted me to have another look at an Ebay lot that I spotted a couple of weeks ago. They were originally up for £20, which I thought too much, but price had now dropped to £12.99 so I went for them... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/187140919546?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=nQpzZPSISuS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=cjbdL6h6Ree&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Thanks again for sharing some more well researched knowledge!

Judging by this photo, I take it you don't own a cat!?

I did originally think vitro, but am stuck in between, looks like it's 1 all from outside opinions so far. Let's see if anyone else can sway it...

Thanks, they did come in a lot with a load of Japanese transitionals, so that is definitely a possibility, I'll delve deeper in that direction...
-
Yeah, thought a possibility for the purple one...
-
To be honest - I don't actually think this was even visible in the jumble of marbles on the original picture so it's actually an absolute bonus as it's my first one!
-
Both 21/32 Green patch extends into marble whereas the purple-ish one seems to have surface patch with a few milky spots. Any ideas, maybe vitro for the green?
-
Yeah, I got about that far through the Pelts pages yesterday...
-
Thanks, for replies. Yeah, definitely the blue line is what I thought may be a clue. Back in the miscellaneous tub they go...
-
11/16 & 19/32 Are these 2 related? Similarities: Colour of base and patch Blue hairline Differences: Bubble content Surface patch v patch extends inside

Aha, good call. Never thought of using that function, I usually just use that to exclude Amazon...

A couple of my finds from this morning. :-) After organizing them

I think I'm very jealous! -
Argh - Don't make my heart break 💔 cos of the damage. I had thought it might be a bit random swirly for pelt, and also had seen some images on Google lens that might suggest CAC but it always seems to throw up something someone is trying to sell on ebay for CAC and I didn't want to fall for that again. It came with some akros and all those transitionals that I put up the other day.

I don't know much, but to me (in UK) the colours don't strike me as what I've put together as (probably) Whisplers so far. I have seen some online with a touch of orange, but mostly they are earthy tones. Happy to be corrected though...

21/33 Unfortunately this is one of the marbles that I think suffered fresh damage due to poor packing by the seller. It's maddening, as all my cheaper lots have been packaged really well, but the one that I stretched myself on a bit, that I absolutely knew had some good stuff in, was basically a box with a fragile label on, and barely anything to cushion or separate them. Anyway, lesson learned...

Yay! Thanks mate

Bang on 5/8. I assume any green is just blending of the blue and yellow. Did I get this one right? 😀

Thanks for this info, and picture of your example, I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for more like this...
