I don't donate to goodwill they keep to much of the money. I support the salvation army almost all of the money is spent locally. Checkout how much money the top people make at goodwill and then check out how much the people make at the salvation army. there are also good local charities that run shops and put all of the money back in the local community.

My wife helps support wings of wonder in michigan a lot of states have chapters. They rehabilitate wounded raptors. She is a volunteer driver and picks up injured owls, eagles, falcons and other birds of prey and takes them to the rehabilitation center

Always ask if they have marbles you would be surprised at how many people dig them out and say they never thought about putting them in the sale

I bought a lot of contemporary marbles when Del Morgan had his weekly online auctions. Most of the mibs were 1 1/2 to 2 inches and went for 30.00 to 40.00 bucks. Loved the way they looked. bought over a dozen by Fritz alone and about 30 others by various artists.

I was at an auction and there were 2 jars full of handmade marbles listened to the people looking at the cut marks saying they were all damaged. I thought they were neat. I had the high bid 9.00 a jar over 100 handmades for 18.00. Loved the mibs found out what they were worth and was hooked. Have not found another deal like it. Really need to sell some they took over a whole room over 10,000 now
