  1. The Peltier boxes marked Sunsets were way earlier than these types, And if the colors are not sunset related why call it a sunset?? From the Name Hater, GWW
  2. with a big smile I often say I lost them all a long time ago and have been looking for them ever since, then making the smile even bigger I add, when did you loose yours. It usually gets at least a chuckle
  3. Dave and some of the gang often played with the "Washouts" actually making them more attractive and more than a "washout" per say
  4. So Calling those snakes totally destroyed what I finally accepted as a snake, A flat cork resting mainly on the surface, any color(s), on any transparent base, Calling those snakes gets me going back to just about any corksrew on any transparent base, really still can't stand the name and was not ever going to use the term anyway(LOL)
  5. Here is an excerpt from Fiedlers contract with Peltier. I would imagine similar wording went into most contracts for whom ever was in charge of mixing colors at all sites as they wanted to sell marbles in colors that the kids liked. That is why so many similar color combos came from so many makers IMO.
  6. How long have you been working on that box, and to be blunt, how much do you have invested in it?

  10. I have never seen aventurine in those Asian types, sounds very pretty. Are you sure it is aventurine and not debris and microfractures?
  11. I use a dash before and after with a space between? my search looks like this with new additions as I get back to looking on ebay************ marbles -jabo- -southern_marbles- -TAMMY'S- -Jabo- -D.A.S- -vacor-
  12. Now its getting too cool . Already down to 61 at 8:50pm
  13. Go to any show and you will see dozens with them being very tough sells unless a rare type.
  14. I thought Spirals and Onyx were 2 different types of corkscrews or did Akro start calling the Onyx corkscrews Spirals, I know they were different marbles in the sample boxes??
  15. Sorry, I didn't mean to break the ID forum asking about Jabos. I hope people start asking for IDs again (LOL). And thank you Steph, you nailed em,There were 3 pretty ones in the whole messGave the pretty ones away . Anyone want some of the others, just pay postage.
  16. You probably figured it out from my wording but I really despise the term, and still looking for a definition??
  17. Hope not too many passed out when they saw the title. Any way these were in a big group of marbles I have been sorting, The sparkly blue looks to be a mica infused glass, not aventurine. Anyone know when or who the run (or 2) was done
  18. I never really have understood the term used for such a huge variety of Akros. What exactly makes a "Snake" a "Snake" Is it any transparent based corkscrew with a solid cork(even multiple colors}? I even now see the term auger snake?????
  19. I would say they are not Christensen
  20. Did not know Champion made patch ribbon marbles. But I do know thousands of those headers were found and then used on bags filled with all sorts of stuff
  21. i have found that almost as many Carnelians do not glow as do glow???
