I consider hand gathered machine rounded marbles as true transitionals. Most only consider them transitionals if the cut off is rough. And many marbles that are called transitionals really are not IMO

i have owned a clear based guinea with many tiny spots and no noticeable stretching to any of the spots. But it had obvious seams.

I do not believe that Akro was dug. Its been in collectors hands for many years.

about 12 years ago I went in for my breakfast western egg sandwich (89 Cents) (egg with diced ham onions and bell peppers)and it was no longer available. Have not been back to a MickyDs since.

Maybe they registered it overseas, as the Akro A Agate symbol with the marble in the crows mouth seams to be available to trademark in the states. AKRO is a weapons company AGATE and AKROS both are Electronic related firms. Akro Agate Company also appears available to trademark

Early glass pieces were all made with a handgathered glob(not just marbles) I think the earlier Akro pieces were hand gathered.
