  1. So I saw a group of vintage marbles on Ebay and this marble was in it. At the last Vegas show I IDed a MK swirl for someone and that is what I was hoping when I saw this. Well it is much busier than the ones I have seen and I believe I may have been snookered by one of those stinking new marbles. It is a bit under 23/32 and much less new looking than the similar SMMs and Dave marbles etc I have seen. Someone want to tell me it is an MK swirl. Make my Christmas for me.
  2. Wrong Tom Reed, TR was a member here that like to stir the pot even more than I
  3. i thought for sure it was going to be Tom Reed (LOL)
  4. Pulled a few swirls out of some of the stuff I got from Rosalie

  6. Here it is, sorry for the lousy phone pic/
  7. Sorry, I do not. It would depend on material and if it was an Akron marble I would assume.
  8. It was like that except Amber and Blue. I have another 2 color around here somewhere.
  9. They were actually made in several countries and many materials. Not so sure that is Akron made.

  11. There are 6 channels (3 each on opposite sides) that carry glass to the base glass stream. Each channel has its own color. The flip flop pattern is how Peltier layed it out for many marbles
  12. Here is mine Go walk in the woods You will only be seeing Whatever sees you
  13. Got interested in this subject a long time ago as it id very interesting Tons of articles on that subject but they all seem to lack any quoted scientific proof,, most are from a 1954 article and a lot of other assumtion and none give specific times. We do hange most of our molecules etc but I am of the not all gets changed group. Neil Pakenham-Walsh says: June 5, 2010 at 9:33 am Richard Dawkins, in the God Delusion, wrote (as I remember) that every single one of the atoms in our body is replaced every 9 years. None of the matter that is in our bodies today was there 9 years ago. He attributed this to Bill Bryson, ‘Brief History of Everything’. I checked out Bill Bryson, and he said this: ‘It has been suggested that there isn’t a single bit of any of us – not so much as a stray molecule – that was part of us 9 nears ago.’ Bill Bryson, Short History of Nearly Everything, p331. Bill Bryson attributed this to David Bodanis, another popular science writer. I checked out David Bodanis, and he said this: ‘Every nine years or so almost every single molecule that makes you has gone, either floated away or poured out.’ (The Secret Family, p89-90). Bodanis does not give a source/reference of any kind for this assertion. Is anyone aware of any *scientific* reference (rather than hearsay) to back up the assertion that our body is, in effect, replaced every 9 years? I asked this question on Bill Bryson’s forum – no answer. I’ll try ‘the horse’s mouth’ – David Bodanis – and will let you know if I hear from him….

    Whatizzit?

It does look like some kind of pressure container. And I think a lot more steam engines stayed in place than moved

Yikes! I want to move now!
