I do not see the clear. I am not syaing they are not ringers. Just that a one color popeye is not a good description IMO.

I couldn't qualify any of those as Popeyes with no obvious clear. But It sure seems like Akro started cork production while they were making the mossagates(ades) And ended up making some on the refined corkscrew set up. Peace,Galen

Rainbo, not a Graycoat IMO Graycoats are a NLR marble(pic). The description fits a relatively common type of Rainbo. Peace,Galen

I lived just outside Akron in my marble playing days. We didn't use the boulders for anything I can remember. Maybe seeing how far they would bounce or fly(LOL).

I may be taking it too literally but I think I got it. The ones in the box do give the look of the description. Maybe the script writer just saw this same appearence. The arrows are pointing to a thin band of the opalescent glass showing at the surface. . I do see what you are saying and I completely agree with Danis first post. I believe I have some to photograph but the marbles are 2000 miles away

I am not getting it. The ones in the sample case show the distinct narrow band of opalescent glass like the description in the add. Are the ones like Dave shows with all opalescent glass also aces??

Hey Bo, If that shooter was in the bag it is also a Cosmic. They came out differnt looking quite often. The Tri-lites are much older marbles.

And when really looking at all the posts it is only just a hobby to some of us. In reality apprx. 1/2 of the posts are now about selling. Either folks promoting for their sales, directing folks to their sales, or asking for IDs to make a sale. 16 out of 33 posts on the current main page are directly or indirectly promoting the sale of marbles. It has basically become a big Ad section with a lot of Jabo promotion including a few posts about vintage marbles. Peace,Galen

It is getting very humerous here. So now we are only supposed to post nice things that the Jabo sellers want to read. How about How about just applying this to all the terrible things I have to say about the new Jabo runs. I mean, lets get real, Is my posting my opinion about the Jabos any different at all than the posts in favor of them. This is a board open to OPINIONS. Negative or positive. At least I thought it was. And I do not start posts here slamming the Jabos. They are usually just a responce to some overblown hype that I find offensive. Probably like they find my posts offensive. It is simply amazing to me that my posts actually have so much control over some folks that they actually get upset. Simply amazing. We are talking about little glass balls, people. Why on earth would you let this stuff effect your lives so much that you would get upset. I do not make you upset. You let yourselves become upset. Oh yea, Thanks for the Marbles Dave.
