  1. That you buy pet supplies on Ebay(LOL) You made me look! Nice pair Greg.
  2. Yep, Walmart is another business I do not support. It is a shame they have been allowed to become so powerful that it is the only choice for shopping many folks have. And in some cases one of the only choices for employment. We used to have laws against monopolies that were used!! http://www.demos.org/publication/not-made-america-top-10-ways-walmart-destroys-us-manufacturing-jobs and their current ploy to say they will be using more made in USA products is pretty much B.S.
  3. Many of you may do this already but one should always take the time to check out an unknown sellers purchases on ebay whenever they are not positive about the make vintage etc of marbles they have up for sale. You can learn quite a bit from their purchases.
  4. No I think anyone working for Walmart has it real tough and get my greatest respect.. But,Like I said, you are living a fantasy world with your head in the sand. The unemployment numbers are actually very much higher than reported because once someones unemployement payments stop they no longer consider them unemployed even if they have no job. And part time emplyes are no longer counted as unemplyed. With many companies giving minimum hours so they do not have to supply benefits. In my area there are sometimes100s of applicants for a single decent paying job http://useconomy.about.com/od/suppl1/f/real_unemployment_rate.htm
  5. Yes Walmart sucks. (so your saying no one should work there?????)You are living in a fantasy world. Jobs are very hard to come by in many parts of the country and making enough to live on decently is next to impossible in many areas. You made a snide remark that seemed to speak of your character. I thought you were better than that. Kind of like the crap you just shot at Rich. It must be really something else up there so lofty. Something going on in your life??
  6. eggzackery! Once had a beautiful Peachblow darning pear!
  7. Love the "HUNT" !!!!!!! Welcome aboard.
  8. Sorry you don't get it. No big deal, just trying to help.
  9. Bob, just a little food for thought. One of the worse things someone running a business can do is talk S*** about competition. It is classless and does the talker no good what so ever. It never makes a business look better talking crap about someone else. I would say just work on your own business and practices to make them as stellar as possible.
  10. Almost every item they have for sale is priced stupidly.
  11. it is a new porcelain marble dipped in paint. http://www.landofmarbles.com/berr997.html
  12. checking on some rounding apparatus http://www.walmart.com/ip/32769215?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227022513983&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=34965553981&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=63504092701&veh=sem
  13. Amen! And that ex Walmart employee has little to do with decisions made at Morphy Auctions.
  14. Good eye Winnie. I think I see 2 figure 8s
  15. pattern, amount of aventurine etc are all important.... Mint Rebels in that size could range from 45-400 dollars.I just sold a beauty for 80bucks.
  16. Interesting, My research has led me to find that many countries do not have did not have the same or even similar country of origin labeling laws, that we have here in the USA And products assembled in one country can be labeled as made in that country even if the assembled parts were made elsewhere.. think of a Ford full of japanese mexican and chinese parts., Still "Made in America(LOL)
  17. Not the same as the one that sold at Morphy. some might even question the authenticity of the one that sold at Auction.
  18. The box looks also more like 1930s than 1950s to me.
  19. Fantastic box, and I am just a little jealous!
