Shame about the damage. It has been around, someone liked it. But that was what they were made for.
  2. Worth about $4.00-$8.00 for all . But very difficult to resell anytime in the future, and get your money back. Never make any profit for at least for many years. Bottom of the list for most all collectors.
  3. Chuck Garrett's brother passed away after a recent lung transplant. He had the transplant during the recent Decatur marble show. So sorry Chuck .
  4. Not sure about the left one ? Is it a swirl or four broken ribbons ?
  5. More often than not, most lots or groups 25 or 100 end up mixed old and new. You are correct usually more old and one or three newer ones. Or they are all newer.
  6. Foreign cat - Champion, possible Alley or Raven ? - Vitro Conqueror
  7. Color look right for Alley. Would need more pictures and angles.
  8. Glass colors do not mix. Not like paint. They can lay on top of each other or overlap and look like another color. Glass colors can get thin and bleed over or under other colors but they do not mix. Many times small bubbles are mistaken as aventurine. Large or small bubbles, they may or may not fracture or explode at any time. Little bubbles usually no problem. This is called seedy glass. Not cooked properly or not vented proper or things in the glass that should not be there. Large bubbles can explode fracture or break a marble in half anytime, or stay intact for years upon years.

I agree lean to Vitro based on colors. But a messed up pattern for sure.
  10. The yellow and black is Jabo Tribute special investor run. I was there when it was made. You also find these with more orange and green aventurine.
  11. Not sure that I have seen orange aventurine ? Something odd with the second one and the narrow olive or brown ribbon. Cannot tell if it is aventurine or chemical reaction or colorant issue ?
  12. Akro and common patch color combination.
  13. Marbles are never ending learning. New and more accurate information comes to the surface every year. There is so much more information now than 20-10 or 5 years ago. If you rely on old information it may have changed ? Never rely on one source. Use many and then decide. Mistakes are great teachers. You will always know now what a MK Bumblebee is . Just teach it to someone else in the future.
  14. Some nice Akro eyelashes in the classic marbles post.
  15. More like Akro or Master ?
  16. Aventurine would be very very unusual in any of these. I don't see any aventurine, only small bubbles. Not sure what splatter is ? I would think splatter as being rough.

If you stay with marbles ? Your list will probably still be growing 25 years from now. Mine has never stopped. Millions by the week from lots of companies for many years, is a long list to collect them.
  18. Probably the most common Marble King they ever made. I played with these in the 1950's. It was the only marble then that I ever heard a name for. Then along came the Cat Eye's. I warned about cut lines. They can help but not totally reliable. You cannot identify big numbers of marbles accurate by cut line shape alone. Several different varieties of Bumblebees from MK through the years. These are older ones. Sizes from tiny pee wee to one inch. Colors with yellow can be different shades of purple, browns, dark blue, and black. Some of the newer ones are clear or translucent base.
  19. Correct ! You can find them in 5/8 and 7/8 size also in other colors.
