  1. Hi Galen ! Same time, same place.
  2. I think the marble above is a Jabo. L.E. Alley never put his name or his company name's on any packaged marbles. He did not think that he was anyone special. Not enough to have his name on a retail package.

    Jabo?

Jabo. The first picture has aventurine.
  4. Left is Jabo. Right is Cairo Novelty.
  5. Being old does not make a marble valuable. Condition is a big factor. The Marble King Bumblebee's are about 0.50 each. The three red marbles, it looks like two of them are the same and one slightly different. Probably common game marbles which have almost no collector value. Almost every marble company made them by the millions per week. Most game marbles cannot be identified to any one certain company or dated.
  6. Could be Alley or Champion ? At that size and the seedy glass, I would say more likely Champion.

    I would say Master.
  8. The back of the show card is Peltier marbles. How many do you know the names of ?
  9. Time again for the annual West Virginia Marble Collectors show. Show dates are May 3-4 and 5th Saturday is actual show day. Same location at Comfort Suites, Mineral Wells(near Parkersburg) WV. Call the hotel direct for reservations, phone 1-304-489-9600. Mention the marble show for the special room rate discount. Do not make the reservations on line or you may not receive the room rate discount. Each year the WVMCC pays tribute to a marble company. This year we celebrate Peltier. Kevin Plummer will have a very large display of original Peltier packaging of all kinds. Plus single Peltier marbles, about every named NLR and also Rainbo's. The display will be in his room and in the main show room Saturday. Anyone can bring Peltiers for display. See you at the show !!!!!!!!
  10. Not a MK Ruby Bee. Not every MK with yellow and red is a Ruby Bee.

The larger the marble, the larger the rolls size. The large rolls mean more metal and more difficult to get the rolls warm enough. Glass temp. drops and does not roll together smooth. Usually called cold roll marks. The rolls were to cold or the glass was to cold or a combination of both.

  16. Handmade Onionskin. Clear base not black.
  17. So sad ! I received the news yesterday. Jake was a special person and always smiling never complained. He asked to climb a hill behind my house and he did it with smiles up and down. Just like his life, many ups and downs beyond his control, but with smiles. So Sorry for your loss Ric. Rest In Peace Jake.
  18. Looks like you had a good day. I really like that last one.
